James Marsden may not have survived Your Friends & Neighbors Season 2 — which was always conceived of as a one-season arc, as creator and executive producer Jonathan Tropper told TV Insider after the finale — but he’s sticking with Apple TV, at least for the near future. He has a new series coming to the streaming service.
The Paradise star is set to lead the cast of the new action-packed thriller Disavowed for the streamer. The series landed on Apple TV in May, so there’s not too much out about it just yet, but read on for everything we know so far about its cast, premiere date, plot, and more.
When will Disavowed premiere?
It’s too early to say since the series has yet to go into production or announce that date or even the rest of the cast. Given that, we don’t expect it to premiere before 2027.
Who’s in the Disavowed cast?
So far, James Marsden is the only actor attached to the series. He’ll be playing CIA Case Officer Brad Griffin.
Disavowed comes from Apple Studios. Executive producers include creators Art Marcum and Matt Holloway, Tom Spezialy, and Marsden. Blue Marble Pictures will produce, with Theresa Kang and Caroline Garity serving as executive producers.
What is Disavowed about?
We don’t know too much about Disavowed just yet, other than that it follows Marsden’s CIA Case Officer Brad Griffin, “who is abruptly fired in the middle of a global hunt for an elusive assassin responsible for killing his colleague. Disgraced and outcast from the world of intelligence, all bets are off when Brad decides to go after the $15 million federal bounty on the assassin’s head.”
It is described as “an ongoing series based on Marcum and Holloway’s original idea,” which suggests there could be a second season.
Is there a Disavowed trailer?
Not yet.
