Ted Lasso Season 4 may be all about Ted’s (Jason Sudeikis) return to England as he takes on coaching A.F.C. Richmond’s Lady Greyhounds, but it also marks the return of Roy Kent (Brett Goldstein) and Keeley Jones (Juno Temple), whose relationship has seemingly been in limbo since fans last saw them three years ago.
After Keeley told Ted in the Season 4 premiere that she and Roy were really good friends, it became even more apparent upon their onscreen reunion that there’s an existing tension. Fans will recall that in Season 3, the former couple had kind of gone their separate ways, with Keeley briefly pursuing a relationship with businesswoman Jack (Jodi Balfour).
Meanwhile, Roy had put romance aside to help mentor Jamie (Phil Dunster), but there seemed to be hope for a rekindled romance between him and Keeley that clearly didn’t come to pass.
But if Episode 2 of the current season is any indication, there’s only room to go upwards in the potential arc of a Roy-Keeley endgame.

When Keeley learned how bad the locker room accommodations for the women’s team were at Richmond, she sought out a budget to make some improvements and was shut down by Rebecca (Hannah Waddingham), who has to be mindful of money after projections hinting that the women’s team could negatively impact the club.
Ultimately, Roy took it upon himself to help Keeley fix some things around the locker room, un-booby-trapping the space he’d previously rigged to spook visiting teams. Their banter and obvious lingering feelings make us hope for the endgame these two truly deserve, but will they rekindle their romance?
