Caelynn Miller-Keyes & Dean Unglert’s “Camp Bell” Wedding Theme Explained

Bachelor In Paradise stars Dean Unglert and Caelynn Miller-Keyes got married recently, hosting a camp-themed wedding that has many viewers looking for an explanation. Dean, who originally appeared on Rachel Lindsay’s season of The Bachelorette and floored audiences with his maturity in his early 20s, has been a Bachelor Nation favorite for years. He met Caelynn on Bachelor In Paradise season 6, after she appeared on Colton Underwood’s season of The Bachelor and decided to try for another shot at love. Dean and Caelynn connected quickly, and despite some hurdles in their early relationship, have been going strong for years.

Dean was open about his family during his time on The Bachelorette, especially because it was a sore subject. Though The Bachelor is one of the best reality TV series on the air, they do push a somewhat more conservative narrative when it comes to their contestants’ family lives. Dean was dealing with a tough family structure after the loss of his mother when he was a teenager. Dean remained open about his tough family issues during his time on Paradise, which Caelynn found refreshing. The pair got through their issues together, celebrating their 4-year anniversary in 2022.

The “Camp Bell” Theme Was Quirky & Fun

The theme for Dean and Caelynn’s wedding was “Camp Bell”, which combined some of their most important memories and activities all into one concept. For Dean, keeping his mother’s memory alive has been a huge focal point for him in recent years. From proposing to Caelynn on the anniversary of her death to bring positive memories to the date to the pair choosing to take his mother’s maiden name, Bell, as their last name, Dean has carried his mother’s memory through his adult life.

The camp aspect of the wedding weekend, which was held in the mountains of Meredith, Colorado, came into play because of Caelynn’s fond memories of going to camp growing up. Both felt that an adventurous, fun weekend with their closest friends and family would encapsulate the pair as a couple. Combining both their new last name, Bell, and the camp theme, Dean and Caelynn’s nuptials were called “Camp Bell” to honor their relationship and usher it into a new chapter.

When Did Caelynn & Dean Get Together?

Although their early relationship had some hiccups, Dean and Caelynn have been going strong since getting together on Bachelor In Paradise season 6. Dean, who had been on another season of Paradise and Bachelor Winter Games in the past, was happy about meeting Caelynn, but left Paradise early during their season. At the end of the season, he returned to the beach in order to see if Caelynn would give him a second chance. The couple got together in the summer of 2019 and haven’t looked back from their relationship.

As one of the most popular couples in Bachelor Nation, Dean and Caelynn’s wedding was filled with guests from all over the franchise. The couple is close to many of the other figures in Bachelor Nation, but with a destination wedding, some weren’t able to attend the intimate nuptials. Bachelor Nation was out in full force with Becca Tilley and Ben Higgins in attendance, as well as international Bachelor Winter Games star Courtney Dober. Fellow Bachelor In Paradise alumni Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon, who are incredibly close with Dean, were in attendance as well, making sure the couple felt the love through their special day.
