When can fans go back to The Floor? The Fox game show did not air a new episode on October 28, even though the new season started over a month ago.
The reason for no new episode was the World Series. Both The Floor and 99 to Beat, which air on Fox, skipped a week of new episodes. Instead of pushing them back a few hours, the network just decided to delay them one week.
The Milwaukee Brewers claimed victory over the Tampa Bay Rays in game five, which aired on Wednesday. The series was best of seven, and with three wins already in game five, the Brewers only needed one more win. The Brewers secured it on October 28 and became the 2026 World Series Champions.
Since baseball is done for the season, the shows will resume their regular schedule next week. The rest of the Fox shows airing this week will also air at their normal times. The Floor and 99 to Beat will air new episodes on Wednesday, November 4.
Monday night’s lineup of Name That Tune and Celebrity Weakest Link was also affected. They will return with new episodes on November 2.
On this season of The Floor, champions from all walks of life, including reality shows, food-eating competitions, beauty pageants, and more, are competing to win the $250,000 prize. When the season picks back up, the show will feature episode 6, titled “Everything the Floor Touches, Simba.”
99 to Beat brings in 100 contestants who compete in hilarious games. The goal of the game is to not finish last because if you do, you are eliminated. The last two people left compete against each other in a game, and whoever finishes first wins the $1 million prize.
However, if fans need their fix before next Wednesday, all episodes of the shows mentioned above can be streamed on Hulu and On Demand.
The Floor also shifted when the season began due to football. It was supposed to premiere on September 23, but it first aired on Sunday, September 13, after the NFL kickoff. A rerun of the premiere aired on the originally scheduled date.
