The iconic singer Jessica Simpson has become the latest conservative celebrity to flee the liberal state of California in search of a better life, as she has moved to Nashville, Tennessee with her husband and three children.
And so it begins! Football season 🏈

Simpson Flees California
“Being in Nashville, even my kids are like, ‘You laugh the whole time. You’re so happy,’” Simpson, 43, told E! News.
“It’s because I’m not on guard. I’m with a lot of like-minded people,” she continued. “It’s not about the celebrities—it’s really about the music and the heart and the conversation.”
Simpson and her husband Eric Johnson, who she’s been married to since 2014, are parents to three children: Maxwell Drew, 11, Ace Knute, 10, and Birdie Mae, 4.
Simpson’s move to Nashville has also allowed her to return to her musical roots.
“I’ve been planning this for the last 12 years,” she explained. “I’m not nervous at all, but if you were to ask me two years ago when I was talking about coming back to music, I was frightened. But now, I know exactly what I want.”
“I’m building my own platform,” Simpson added. “I’m doing it for the first time—the way I would—without a label telling me I need to do this song or use this producer. It’s all me.”

Simpson’s Political Views
While Simpson has stayed relatively quiet about politics over the years, she was a registered Republican as of 2011. Entertainment Weekly reported that she supported George W. Bush during his presidency, attending state dinners at his White House and embarking on various USO tours throughout his time in office.
In 2006, Simpson’s father Joe told CBS News that his entire family were “big supporters” of Bush.

“We are huge fans of him and of his family, his girls,” he added. “Jessica loves the heck out of him.”
Though Simpson has stayed silent about politics as of late, it would not be surprising if she still holds conservative views, as she grew up in Texas as the daughter of a pastor.

Other Celebrities Flee California
It’s also not surprising that Simpson wanted to leave California, given the mass exodus that is currently happening in the state. Daily Mail previously reported that an estimated 500,000 people left California between April 2020 and July 2022.
Another star to leave the state was the “Superman” actor Dean Cain, who recently moved to Las Vegas, Nevada.
“I love California. It’s the most beautiful state,” Cain, 56, explained to Fox News back in June. “Everything’s wonderful about it except for the policies. The policies are just terrible. The fiscal policies, the soft-on-crime policies, the homelessness policies.”
“The things that our leaders in California have been doing have driven out anybody who can really afford to get out,” he continued. “People are flocking out of there in droves.”

Scott Baio Leaves California
“Happy Days” star Scott Baio also recently fled California to move to Florida due to rising homelessness and crime.
“I see people… When I drive with my kid, I gotta turn her head away. She’s 14 years old. I see people defecating on the sidewalk,” Baio lamented during a recent call with the Clay & Buck show. “You see people in parks shooting up. There’s people passed out everywhere. I mean it. It’s not the isolated. It’s all over the place. And I’m about ready to get out of the state. So, you know, just so you guys know, that it’s no joke out here.”
“I think, probably since Governor Newsom, it’s really gotten bad, and maybe a little before that. So, maybe four or five years ago,” he continued. “It’s just… It’s out of control, guys. Listen, I’ve been here for 45, almost 50 years. I’ve seen this place go from an absolute paradise into a cesspool…”
After 45 years, I’m making my way to finally “exit stage right” from California.

Liberals have completely driven the state of California into the ground with their ridiculous and dangerous policies, so it’s no wonder that Simpson and other conservatives are fleeing to red states in the search of a better life. We would like to wish Simpson and her family the best of luck in Tennessee, and we hope they don’t have to return to California anytime soon!
