Baywatch star Carmen Electra just offered her top advice to the cast of the upcoming Fox reboot series.
On Wednesday, June 3, the actress — who played Lani McKenzie in the original show — spoke to E! News about the Baywatch reboot while at the premiere of Scary Movie 6. (She makes a cameo in the sixth film after starring in the original 2000 Scary Movie and appearing in Scary Movie 4.)
When asked if she would also reprise her role in Baywatch,” Electra, 54, teased, “You never know,” before heading into the Paramount Theatre in Los Angeles, California. “I mean, Scary Movie — possibly Baywatch.”
Electra was also asked if she had any words of wisdom to impart to the new cast members, to which she said, “Always be ready.”
“It’s a lot of hard work,” she explained. “So, you just want to be in tip-top shape before you step out there, period. And work on your swimming techniques. Because it’s hard. It’s not an easy job.”

Additionally, Electra recalled the rigor of training with an actual lifeguard to prepare for her Baywatch role. “He was like, ‘You’ve got to do everything,’” she shared. “He was really tough on us. So, I’m hoping they’re not as tough on them, but I have a feeling they are.”
Baywatch aired for 11 seasons from 1989 to 2001, with Electra appearing in Season 8.
The reboot will star Stephen Amell, Livvy Dunne, Brooks Nader, Jessica Belkin, Hassie Harrison, Thaddeus LaGrone, Shay Mitchell, Noah Beck, and more. Additionally, several OG cast members — David Chokachi, Michael Bergin, Kelly Packard, Erika Eleniak — will appear in the reboot.
As of writing, Electra has not been officially confirmed as a reboot cast member.
