It’s true, the Nintendo Switch Joy-Con and Pro controllers gain iOS 16 native support, or at least in the developer beta. You can either use a single Joy-Con or bot the left and right together, but to use them separately, simply hold the screenshot capture and home buttons for a few seconds.
Pairing either Joy-Cons or the Pro controller is as simple as going into the Bluetooth menu of the settings app and looking for their names. Don’t have either controllers, but a different one? Apple can now add support for other third party controllers over-the-air without requiring users to download a new version of iOS. Developers can download iOS 16 beta today, but others will have to wait until July for the public beta release.
