Senator Hawley Slams Pro-Abortion Witness After She Calls Him ‘Transphobic’ For Saying Men Can’t Get Pregnant

Senator Hawley Slams Pro-Abortion Witness After She Calls Him ‘Transphobic’ For Saying Men Can’t Get Pregnant

Senator Josh Hawley slammed a pro-abortion witness after she labeled him “transphobic” for stating men can’t get pregnant, asking her, “Is this how you run your classroom?”

Hawley’s comments were directed at Berkeley Law Professor Khiara Bridges, who testified during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on abortion and the legal consequence of the Supreme Court’s ruling to overturn Roe v. Wade.

Bridges – who again is a professor at Berkeley – struggled with the concept of pregnancy, biology, and what a woman is, when she offered up the description “people with a capacity for pregnancy.”

The label is a new twist on the left’s favorite new phrase, ‘birthing people.’

Hawley (R-MO) asked Bridges if she believes abortion is a women’s rights issue, something that has been maintained throughout the history of the Roe debate.

“I want to recognize that your line of questioning is transphobic, and it opens up trans people to violence by not recognizing them,” Bridges replied.

Hawley: Why are you using the term “person with a capacity for pregnancy” instead of “woman?”

Bridges: “Your line of questioning is transphobic and opens trans people to violence.”

Hawley Called ‘Transphobic’ For Saying Men Can’t Get Pregnant

Everything about Khiara Bridges response to Senator Josh Hawley reveals the state of the left today.

The combativeness, the condescension, the AOC eyes, the repeating of “are you, are you, are you?”

Bridges, believing in her mind that she had stumbled upon a winning argument asked Hawley, “Do you believe that men can get pregnant?”

Without hesitation, he replied, “No! I don’t think men can get pregnant.”

This led the law professor to declare that this means he “denies the existence” of trans people.

“And that leads to violence?” Hawley shot back. “Is this how you run your classroom? Are students allowed to question you, or are they also treated like this, where they’re told that they’re opening up people to violence by questioning?”

A pro-abortion lunatic has a meltdown when she’s told men can’t get pregnant and accuses Sen. Josh Hawley of transphobia.

This is the Left in 2022. It’s a big reason why they’re tanking in the polls. pic.twitter.com/fJJrtLb5gQ

— Jason Rantz on KTTH Radio (@jasonrantz) July 12, 2022

Bridges talked down to Hawley by saying her students truly enjoy her classes.

“You should join, you might learn a lot,” the professor condescendingly said.

“Wow, I would learn a lot. I’ve learned a lot just from this exchange,” Hawley shot back.

What student wouldn’t enjoy being called ‘transphobic’ as Hawley was for simply suggesting only women can get pregnant?

Hawley: Who can have babies?
Berkeley professor: Everyone!
Hawley: Really?
Berkeley professor: You’re a murderer.

They Really Believe Men Can Get Pregnant

If nothing else, Democrats continuing to parade the most radical members of elite society as witnesses and experts on the topic of abortion will continue to provide entertaining clips to the rest of us who still reside on planet Earth.

Bridges remarks were similar to those of another Democrat witness in May who testified before the House Judiciary Committee.

In that instance, Aimee Arrambide was asked by Representative Dan Bishop (R-NC) to define what “a woman is.”

Asked her thoughts on the science of conception, Arrambide provided unintentional comic relief.

“Do you believe that men can become pregnant and have abortions?” Bishop asked.

“Yes,” responded Arrambide.

— Greg Price (@greg_price11) May 18, 2022

The left’s insistence on minimizing the role of women in society isn’t going to end well for them.

Democratic strategist James Carville has repeatedly criticized the extreme elements of his party, blaming “stupid wokeness” for turning voters off in previous election cycles.

Bridges comments are a clear example of stupid wokeness.
