OUCH! CNN’s Narrative Implodes LIVE — Three Former Democrat Black Voters Tell Van Jones They’d Vote for Trump Again if Given Do-Over: “1,000% Absolutely Yes!” | The Gateway Pundit

The corporate media’s tired narrative that black Americans are blindly loyal to the Democrat Party took a massive blow Thursday night — live and on CNN, of all places.

During a segment on Anderson Cooper 360, longtime leftist commentator Van Jones sat down with three black voters from South Carolina who proudly cast their ballots for President Donald Trump — and not one of them showed a shred of regret.

In fact, all three doubled down, with one woman declaring she’d vote for Trump again, “1,000% absolutely yes!”

It’s laughable how the corrupt fake news media keeps pushing the pathetic lie that Trump voters have “buyer’s remorse.” They’re desperate, delusional, and dead wrong—again.

Even CNN’s own polling reveals that voters believe Trump would outperform Kamala Harris as president.

DEMOCRATS: “The country turned on Trump! The voters have buyer’s remorse! We told you!”

CNN, THIS WEEK: “Who’d be doing a better job as president… guess who comes out on TOP? This looks a LOT like the election result. Trump two points ahead of Harris! Trump continues to… pic.twitter.com/1Ht7Muxlhf

— Eric Daugherty (@EricLDaugh) May 2, 2025

The panel, made up of Seth Dawkins, Detra German, and Kyasia Kraft — all former Democrats — explained to Jones why they flipped for Trump. And their answers weren’t the talking points CNN was hoping to broadcast.

Seth Dawkins, a former Democrat who voted for Joe Biden in 2020, didn’t mince words.

Jones: You weren’t always a Republican?

Seth Dawkins: No, actually, I come from a family that was, like, super Democratic. My first time voting, I voted Democrat. I voted for Joe Biden.

Jones: What about Trump appealed to you?

Seth Dawkins: Am I allowed to cuss?

Jones: Yeah, you can do.

Seth Dawkins: I mean, part of it is he’s an asshole. I like authenticity.

Dawkins revealed that his upbringing in a “super Democratic” household changed once he began to see how liberal policies were hurting — not helping — his community.

He also credited social media, rather than legacy news outlets, for opening his eyes to what the U.S. government is doing behind closed doors.

Jones: What are some things that he’s doing that you do like?

Seth Dawkins: For me, I like the border. I just don’t like the idea of someone coming here illegally and getting benefits that can serve my community. So that’s the reason why I support him on that border policy.

Jones: When you think about the border, you think about people coming here who are getting more help than people who live here and were born here?

Seth Dawkins: Yeah. And I got that perspective not from news channels—I got it from social media. TikTok is like a holy ground. We even see it with the things that we learn about the United States government outside of the United States. People are showing Americans, “Hey, look at what’s going on. Do y’all know that your government’s doing this? Have you seen this? Have you looked at it from this perspective?”

Jones: You know, people, when they think about a Trump voter, they usually think about, like, a white dude with a red hat on and a pickup truck. And y’all are not that at all. So Donald Trump’s team went in, they took down Harriet Tubman’s picture for a quick minute. They’re trying to knock out the Black museums. What does that have to do with the price of eggs and how does that impact you?

Seth Dawkins: In some ways, it’s a slap in the face. In other ways, I don’t care. I care more about how I’m going to take care of my children.

Detra German, another ex-Democrat, credited conservative commentator Candace Owens for opening her eyes. She revealed that she voted for Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.

Jones: You voted for Obama, and then you voted for Hillary Clinton in 2016, but in 2020, you voted for Donald Trump. What made the change?

Detra German: I began listening to someone. Her name is Candace Owens. And I read her book, and it just opened my eyes to maybe he’s not this person that I have been led to believe that he was.

Kyasia Kraft, who voted against Trump in 2016 but changed her mind in 2020, cited the booming economy and improved international relations during Trump’s first term.

Jones: So you voted against Trump in 2016?

Kyasia Kraft: Yes.

Jones: But then in 2020, you voted for him?

Kyasia Kraft: Absolutely.

Jones: Why?

Kyasia Kraft: I saw how things were going during his first term, and I was pleasantly surprised, and I was pleased with what was happening. I saw the economy getting better. I saw country relations in certain areas getting better.

[…]

Kyasia Kraft: I don’t think the average American cares about that. I know I’m—frankly—I am sick and tired of seeing Black people sit there and complain about something, but not taking actionable steps to actually try to change things in an appropriate manner.

Jones: Under the Trump and Biden administration, they came to certain agreements with police departments to be less brutal toward the Black community. Trump has now ended all that. How does that help the Black community?

Kyasia Kraft: I have a lot of issues with police reform and just with how police officers are treated as a whole. My husband is currently going through the process to become a police officer. The amount of hatred that cops get—even the best ones—I think has become a huge problem, especially around election times, when it definitely comes out like, “Oh no, the cops are bad. The cops hate you because you’re Black.” They’re immediately deemed as evil.

When Jones attempted to corner them on Trump’s comments about a “third term,” the panel laughed it off, recognizing it for what it was — trolling. “This is a prime example of him being a troll,” Kraft said.

And then came the killer blow. In one of the most humiliating moments for CNN in recent memory, Jones asked the question Democrats are terrified of hearing answered:

Jones: If you had to do it all over again, would you vote for Donald Trump again, yes or no?

Detra German: Yes, I would. Now, in the future, I am not a die-hard Democrat or a die-hard Republican. If there were a Democratic candidate who was more aligned for me, then I would vote Democrat.

Jones: If you go back in time, would you vote for Donald Trump, yes or no?

Seth Dawkins: Yes.

Jones: I think I might know the answer on this next one. If you had to do it all over again, would you vote for Donald Trump, yes or no?

Kyasia Kraft: 1,000%. Absolutely yes.
