New White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre Claimed the 2016 and 2018 Elections Were ‘Stolen’

New White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre Claimed the 2016 and 2018 Elections Were ‘Stolen’

Resurfaced tweets show newly-minted White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre claiming the 2018 gubernatorial election in Georgia and the 2016 presidential election were ‘stolen.’

Claims of election rigging have led to banishment on Twitter for certain users, but Jean-Pierre’s multiple false claims seem to have escaped scrutiny.

“Reminder: Brian Kemp stole the gubernatorial election from Georgians and Stacey Abrams,” she fired off in a post in April of 2020.

The press secretary’s Attack On Our Democracy™ was in response to a story about Georgia Governor Brian Kemp’s response to the pandemic at the time.

Karine Jean-Pierre Claimed Multiple Elections Were Stolen

In another tweet from December of 2016, Jean-Pierre claims Hillary Clinton’s emails were “stolen,” along with the presidential election.

“Stolen emails, stolen drone, stolen election … welcome to the world of #unpresidented Trump,” she wrote.

The references mentioned were to a story in which Trump accused China of seizing an underwater drone but misspelled the word ‘unprecedented’ in a tweet discussing the matter.

Background aside, calling into question election results and refusing to acknowledge a duly elected president is ‘inciting an insurrection’ last I checked.

Surely, the media will refer to Jean-Pierre as a “conspiracy theorist” pushing “baseless claims” every time she is mentioned, right?

“Isn’t it interesting how Joe Biden’s new spokesperson can have tweets calling into question electoral integrity and demeaning the essence of democracy itself by arguing that elections have been stolen?” conservative radio host Clay Travis said.

“That’s what’s been unacceptable if it pertains to Donald Trump.”

RELATED: Stacey Abrams Repeats Claim That She Had Georgia Election Stolen From Her

Many Democrats Have Claimed Elections Were Stolen

Karine Jean-Pierre certainly isn’t the first person on the left to claim elections were rigged or stolen, nor will she be the last, as you’ll see later.

The person she defended in the 2020 tweet, Stacey Abrams, has repeatedly falsely claimed the governor’s race in Georgia was stolen from her, even going so far as to, on multiple occasions, claim she actually won.

“Just because you win doesn’t mean you won,” she said just this past October at a campaign event for another gubernatorial loser, Terry McAuliffe.

She told supporters at a luncheon in Houston in 2019 that she wasn’t “delusional” mere moments after declaring “we won” the Georgia gubernatorial race.

One of our favorite moments from .@staceyabrams in #Houston for .@AnniesListTX while speaking about keeping up the fight: “usually candidates feel like they have to concede if they want to run for office again to show that they’re a good sport. I am not a good sport.” pic.twitter.com/SHOstTIWMA

— Texas Signal (@TexasSignal) May 3, 2019

Former President Jimmy Carter also claimed Donald Trump was an illegitimate President who actually lost the election in 2016.

“I think a full investigation would show that Trump didn’t actually win the election in 2016,” he said at a 2019 panel in Leesburg, Virginia. “He lost the election, and he was put into office because the Russians interfered on his behalf.”

Former President Jimmy Carter: If fully investigated, it would show that Trump didn’t actually win the election in 2016. He lost the election and he was put in office because the Russians interfered …on his behalf.

Two-time presidential loser Hillary Clinton often refused to acknowledge Trump as a legitimate President.

Clinton, who famously suggested casting doubt on elections was a “direct threat to democracy,” would later insist Trump lived “with this specter of illegitimacy” because “I was the candidate that they basically stole an election from.”

Hillary tells @karaswisher “So there is an air of illegitimacy that surrounds Trump’s presidency, and that just infuriates them….Because I was the candidate that they basically stole an election from.” https://t.co/NovSU9xxyo

Karine Jean-Pierre’s boss, President Biden, cast his own doubts, agreeing with a woman at a campaign rally who said Trump was an “illegitimate president in my mind.”

“I absolutely agree,” Biden replied.

Perhaps then, Jean-Pierre is the perfect person for the role considering her past claims of stolen elections. Democrats, after all, are trying to pre-emptively respond to the coming 2022 red wave in the midterms by suggesting the elections might not be legitimate.

When questioned by a reporter as to whether or not the President felt we would have free and fair elections in 2022, Joe Biden planted the conspiracy seeds.

“Oh, yeah,” he replied. “I think it easily could be illegitimate.”

This second attempt from Biden on whether the election will be legit is even worse.

“Oh, yeah, I think it could easily be illegitimate … The increase in the prospect of being illegitimate is in proportion to not being able to get these reforms passed.” pic.twitter.com/nCyuAWSMXm

— Justin Baragona (@justinbaragona) January 19, 2022

The Political Insider reported in late January that several Senate Democrats were contemplating pushing a narrative that the 2022 midterm elections are illegitimate due to Republican opposition to passing their national voting bill.

“Democrats believe there’s plenty of evidence that Republicans are trying to steal future elections and feel bolstered by extensive reporting by CNN, NBC and other media outlets on the state-level machinations of Trump allies,” according to The Hill.

Karine Jean-Pierre will fit right in spreading these stolen election claims – she’s had plenty of practice.
