20 Affordable Fall Fashion Essentials Under 0

We may receive a portion of sales if you purchase a product through a link in this article.

Fall fashion has always felt like a reset button. The temps cool, the leaves turn, and suddenly getting dressed feels fun again. While I love my breezy summer staples, nothing excites me more than reaching for jackets, knits, and jeans that bring texture and warmth back into my wardrobe. And the best part? You don’t have to spend a fortune to look stylish—this season is full of affordable fall fashion finds that deliver high style without the high price tag.

When it comes to building a wardrobe that feels both versatile and fresh, I focus on a few key pieces that can work overtime. Think: denim that goes from day to night, blazers that elevate even the simplest basics, and cozy knits you’ll layer on repeat. Add in shoes, bags, and accessories that pull it all together, and you’ve got a capsule of essentials that look far more luxe than their price tag.

20 Affordable Fall Fashion Essentials Under $200

Ahead, I’m sharing 20 fall wardrobe staples I’m eyeing this season—each under $200. From the perfect chunky sweater to boots you’ll wear on repeat, these are the affordable pieces to shop now and style all season long.

Levis XL Baggy Straight Women’s Jeans

The number one thing your fall wardrobe needs is a good pair of jeans. The fit is relaxed yet fitted in all the right ways, with a straight leg that still feels polished. Perfect with a slim turtleneck or oversized knit—a staple for this season.

Madewell Essential Curve Shoulder Bag

Say hello to suede season. This hobo bag from Madewell is an affordable option for fall. I love the look of suede, but due to the material’s fragile nature, I am always hesitant to splurge on it. I appreciate that this bag is still super high quality, but I can also take it everywhere. (Durable!) Big enough to hold everything you might need on a fall day—including extra layers—this bag is a must.

Dolce Vita Tiggy Loafers Mahogany Suede

While chunky loafers were all the rage last fall, I predict that a sleeker, slimmer look will be popular for fall 2025. Ballet flats’ more mature older sister, a loafer is one of my favorite shoes to style alone with denim or with socks and shorts. This pair from Dolce Vita is at the top of my affordable fall fashion list.

Abercrombie Classic Suiting Blazer

If you know me, you know that an oversized blazer is my go-to outfit any time of the year—especially during the fall. I’ll throw on an oversized blazer with jeans and loafers for work or with shorts and knee-high boots for going out, and always feel my cutest. Chocolate brown is my favorite fall hue, and I can’t wait to get my hands on this blazer from Abercrombie.

Reformation Becker Shirt

A crisp button-down is always in style, but this fall, I’m leaning into silhouettes that feel elevated and chic. The Becker Shirt from Reformation nails that effortlessly slimming look. It’s the kind of piece I’ll throw on with relaxed trousers or denim for a look that reads quiet luxury without trying too hard.

Madewell Cashmere V-Neck Sweater

Stripes are having a major moment this fall, and this cashmere sweater checks every box for cozy, elevated style. The v-neckline gives it a slightly slouchy, effortless feel, and the stripes make it endlessly versatile. It’s the kind of piece you’ll reach for on repeat—whether you’re layering it over a tee or styling it solo with your favorite denim.

Beatriz Trench Coat

While temps cool in the fall, in many parts of the country, it’s still not cold enough for a full-blown coat. Enter: the trench. Thin enough to layer and warm enough not to freeze, a trench coat is fall’s perfect jacket. If the full-length look isn’t for you, there are plenty of cropped versions that still do the trick.

Reformation Avery Knit Top

This top has all of those little design details that make fall dressing feel intentional—cropped length, bell sleeves, boat neck, and even an adjustable back tie that lets you dial in your fit. It’s the kind of piece that makes a tee-and-jeans look feel elevated, perfect for layering under an oversized blazer or pairing with high-rise trousers so the crop shows just enough.

Sam Edelman Paige Ankle Boot

While pointed toes had their moment last fall, I’m calling it now: the square-toe boot is taking center stage this season. This pair from Sam Edelman strikes the perfect balance between modern and classic—with a structured silhouette that adds instant polish to any look. They’re the kind of boots you’ll wear on repeat, from tailored trousers to straight-leg denim.

Haven Well Within Silky Pleated Maxi Dress

The best kind of fall wardrobe pieces are the ones that can float effortlessly between warm days and cooler nights—and this silky pleated maxi does just that. The flowy silhouette and subtle sheen make it feel elevated, while the lightweight fabric is perfect for layering with a chunky knit or cropped jacket. It’s the definition of a throw-on-and-go dress that still makes you feel put-together.

Petite Moments Phoenix Belt With Disc Studs

As I said, I’m excited to get creative with styling with belts this fall, and this Khaite look-alike is at the top of my list. Worn with jeans, at the waist over a dress, and even over a blazer, a belt can transform an outfit. I love the dark brown and gold combo, but it also comes in black and silver if that better suits your style and vibe.

Levi’s Vintage Overalls

White denim overalls were on my summer wardrobe essentials list, so naturally, these vintage-inspired Levi’s had to make my fall wardrobe faves as well. Layered over the perfect white tee with a cardigan over your shoulders, these overalls make for an effortless yet styled fall fit.

Madewell Denim Trapeze Jacket

One of the most basic, but hardest to get right, fall wardrobe essentials is a denim jacket. I’m sure almost all of us have one in our closets, but only a handful of us are actually obsessed with the one we have. I love a denim jacket that has a slightly more interesting shape than the classic fit, and this jacket is just that: boxy, oversized, interesting collar, and perfect for fall layering.

Target Women’s Slim Fit Short Sleeve Cropped Ribbed T-Shirt

A good cropped tee is one of those foundational basics I always keep in rotation, and this slim-fit ribbed version is a total steal. The fit is super flattering, hugging in all the right places, and the ribbed texture gives it just enough structure to feel elevated. Layer it under an open button-down or pair it with high-rise denim and a chunky cardigan for an easy fall uniform.

Gap High Rise Barrel Jeans

If you’re looking to switch up your denim this fall, barrel jeans are the silhouette to try. This high-rise pair from Gap has just the right amount of structure and ease, giving any outfit a relaxed, pulled-together feel. Pair them with a slim tee or cropped knit to balance the shape—they’re an easy way to look stylish without trying too hard.

Quince 100% Organic Cotton Fisherman Crew Sweater

Speaking of a fitted sweater, if you’re looking to invest in cashmere for fall, let it be this fisherman crew. The perfect weight and fit for layering, I guarantee this sweater will be the base for all of your cozy fall fits.

Haven Well Within Organic Cotton Shaker Stitch Cardigan

A white cardigan is arguably one of the most essential fall wardrobe staples. It goes with everything, can be worn open or closed, and is simultaneously comfy and chic. I’m currently loving this cardigan from Haven Well Within. It hits right below the waistband of my jeans and keeps me at the perfect temp. If white isn’t your thing, this fit comes in so many other colors.

Aritzia The Effortless Pant

Previously only an office staple, black trousers are one of my favorite pieces to revisit when fall rolls around. I love that they can be dressed up with a heel and a blouse or down with a tee and sneakers, and the Aritzia Effortless Pant makes doing both feel effortless. Available in a range of lengths and colors, the perfect pair exists for us all.

Clare V. Baseball Hat

This baseball hat from Clare V. is the perfect easygoing accessory to top your fall looks. Its soft, worn-in texture and simple silhouette make it feel effortless, while the embroidered detail adds just the right touch of personality. The color and the fit are both a definite “oui” for me.

Heaven Mayhem Ribbed Gold Earrings

Every turtleneck needs a statement earring to go with it, and Heaven Mayhem is home to the best. During a season when necklaces and bracelets are often hidden, it’s a great time to invest in earrings. This vintage-inspired, gold ribbed pair will go with every outfit you create this fall and will earn you compliments everywhere you go.
