10 Best Airtag Wallets To Travel With Ease in 2023

You’ve finally gotten an Apple Airtag to keep track of your most prized possessions, only it won’t fit inside your wallet, next to your cash, cards, and that gym membership you’ve been meaning to use. Like all great inventions, the best Airtag wallet has all the features you need, plus a designated space for that compact Smart tracker. You’ll never misplace your wallet again.

You might think it tough to have the best of both worlds when it comes to an Airtag wallet. After all, it needs to hold all of your essentials while also safely containing your Airtag without protruding too far from the wallet itself. Fortunately, there are some amazing options out there, and I’ve done all of the leg work for you. It’s pretty amazing what people come up with, from small businesses to fancy shops like The Ridge and Ekster.

The best Airtag wallets are streamlined, safe, and savvy. Check out the top 10 Airtag wallets your pretty pennies can buy.

Key Takeaways

From looks to strength and safety features, Runbox makes the best Airtag wallet, in my opinion. High-quality pressed leather combines with carbon fiber to make a beautiful, durable pick.

If indestructible aluminum in a luxury body is what you’re after, The Ridge makes an excellent choice. For a card-style wallet with the slimmest profile, Hawanik is the ultimate budget pick.

RUNBOX Airtag Wallet

The best Airtag wallet should be a slim little number that fits into the tightest of pockets while also holding an Airtag sans bulge. A tall order, but RUNBOX as the best wallet for men delivers in all regards. Attractive, indestructible, safe, and affordable, it’s my number one pick.

Made from 3 layers of high-quality pressed leather for durability, the wallet is wrapped in tough-as-nails carbon fiber for a clean, professional look. The fun comes on the inside, with a distinguished pop of color like green or red. Because the surface is treated with anti-scratch treatment, consider it an investment—without the crazy price tag.

With the ability to hold up to 12 cards, you’d think bulking would be a problem. Even though it’s a bifold, it’s still one of the slimmest wallets on this list. As for safety and travel? No worries. This best Apple Airtag wallet is RFID and NFC-blocking.

Material: Carbon Fiber, Leather | Colors: 9 | Size: 4.4 x 3.3 x 0.5in | Style: Bifold

typecase Slim Minimalist Wallet for Airtag

Flat as a board and clean as a whistle, typecase takes slim minimalism to an extreme. Even though it’s only 0.12 inches thick, it’s perfectly capable of holding up to 6 cards. It’s not the best wallet with Airtag if your usual wallet rolls deep, but it’s perfect if you’re a paired-down sort of fellow.

Even though it’s small, rest assured, it’s well made. Designed to last a lifetime, thanks to 100% full-grain crazy horse leather that gets more beautiful with time, this wallet shouldn’t wear out. With a transparent ID window, various neutral color options, and RFID-blocking capabilities, what else do you need?

Material: Leather | Colors: 8 | Size: 3.3 x 4.1 x 0.12in | Style: Cardholder

Elevation Lab TagVault Airtag Wallet Holder

If you’re too attached to your current wallet to say goodbye, consider an Airtag insert. Dubbed a ‘game changer’ by reviewers, this sleek little holder slides right into your wallet as if it was a credit card. How can that be, might you ask? Simply pop your Airtag in at its center and marvel at the way it tapers out from the tag to a mere 0.05 inches.

This nifty design uses tapered curvature to smooth out the bulge created by the Airtag for a seriously slim profile. But the coolest part is its highly bendable and flexible nature. It’s “the world’s thinnest Airtag wallet holder,” patent pending. And yet, reviewers truly love it.

Material: Flexible Material | Colors: 1 | Size: 3.25 x 1.50 x 0.05in | Style: Insert

BIIGEL Airtag Wallet

If you’ve ever wondered what life is like in The Matrix, this wallet can at least help you play pretend. With sci-fi looks and compact wallet capabilities, this isn’t just the wallet of the future, it’s one of the best Airtag wallets today.

Even though there’s a slight bump at the back for the Airtag, the wallet itself is flat and slim at a slight half-inch and manages to hold a whopping 15 cards. Aluminum construction not only makes it strong and compact, but it’s also super lightweight. It’s clearly not ideal if you don’t dig that techy look, but if safety and durability are your thing, it’s worth taking a peek.

While I love that it’s RFID-blocking, my favorite feature is the clear access window. Board the bus, subway, or flash your ID card without ever having to open your wallet.

Material: Aluminum | Colors: 3 | Size: 3.5 x 2.4 x 0.5in | Style: Minimalist

typecase leather airtag wallet

What initially drew me to this wallet was looks. I know, but bear with me. Gorgeously pebbled, the genuine top-grain leather also happens to be 100% ethically sourced. But it also puts in work. Another beauty from typecase, this bifold wallet is not only waterproof but easy to clean. All you need is a damp cloth.

Alongside RFID blocking, it comes with other safety features, including two different modes. Stealth mode holds the Airtag in a hidden compartment that’s accessible solely through a secret channel under the ID window. Sneaky, sneaky. Space-saving mode, on the other hand, sets the Airtag in an airtight window for incomparable thinness. No bumping or bulging here.

As for card capabilities, expect it to comfortably hold 8-16 cards. Colors vary from pebbled leather to carbon, with orange lining and several smooth leather options.

Material: Leather | Colors: 9 | Size: 3.7 x 4 x 0.3in | Style: Bifold

Ridge Smart Wallet Kit

Ah, the Ridge. Maybe you’ve heard about this trendy brand that pretty much defined the minimalist wallet thanks to a slim, resilient design. Only question is, is it worth it? Answer: I think so—if you’ve got the cash (read our full review).

Made from 6061-T6 aluminum, the same material launched into space, this wallet is near indestructible. Reviewers marvel at the way it remains in mint condition regardless of usage and how much time has passed. And even though its body is practical, the overall look is smooth—and, dare I say, chic—without that overly tactical, hyper-masculine feel.

At over $100, I’ll admit, it lands itself into a luxury wallet. This price is for the set, however, which includes the cash strap wallet, carbon Airtag case that is easily removable, and money clip and elastic. Once the Airtag is attached, you’ll forget it’s even there, that’s how seamlessly it fits onto the wallet. Ultimately, if you buy the Ridge, you might never have to buy a wallet again.

Material: Aluminum | Colors: 3 | Size: 3.4 x 2.1 x 0.24in | Style: Minimalist

Hawanik Slim Minimalist Wallet

Looking for a slim baby at rock-bottom prices? Hawanik may not offer any bells or whistles, but if straightforward is what you’re after, then you’ve come to the right place.

Listen, it’s not promising space-grade aluminum or wild pop-up features, but for a card-style wallet, it holds up. And for less than $15, you can store up to 6 credit cards in the slimmest body on this list. 0.12 inches? Now that’s what I’m talking about. You won’t even feel it in your front pocket.

Ultimately, though, you get what you pay for. Hawaknik may have imperfect stitching and budget looks, but it does seem to do its job well. It also boasts the most color options, so it certainly makes for a great gift. If you’re looking for something cheap to get the job done, this is your best Airtag wallet.

Material: PU Leather | Colors: 11 | Size: 3.3 x 4.1 x 0.12in | Style: Cardholder

Ekster Cardholder For Airtag

Like Ridge, Ekster is another behemoth in the minimalist wallet space, offering trendy and high-quality products for a fair price. So, it’s only natural that they make the best Airtag wallet.

I love that even though Ekster is a card holder, it can contain up to 16 credit cards with an expendable backplate. At the push of a button, the cards fan out evenly, thanks to a patented ejection mechanism. Like the Ridge, it’s also forged in space-grade 6061-T6 aluminum for indestructible metal wallet versatility.

It’s also pretty neat how the Airtag is attached. A silicone holder wraps snugly around the wallet, so it’s just as easy to use as it is to take off if you so desire. There may not be a lot of color options (choose from a rather basic black or gray), but 30,000 five-star reviews can attest to the level of quality Ekster provides.

Material: Aluminum | Colors: 2 | Size: 2.3 x 4.1 x 0.29in | Style: Pop-up

WXM Wallet For Men

If tough is what you’re after, look no further than this utilitarian warrior. Crafted in 100% carbon fiber and framed in aluminum alloy, it’s made of some of the strongest materials out there. It’s definitely got that indestructible look and feel.

I like the way the screws are visible from the outside, alongside the handy money clip. Surprisingly, they don’t seem to add extra bulk. It’s only 0.67 thick. Although that makes it the thickest on this list, it does mean that you can carry up to 15 of your most prized cards, accessible via a cozy thumb notch to push the cards out.

Of course, it’s giving RFID protection. And with eight color options, it’s hard not to find a reason to fit this best Airtag wallet into your life.

Material: Carbon Fiber, Aluminum | Colors: 8 | Size: 5.04 x 4.96 x 0.67in | Style: Pop-up

Geometric Goods Leather Airtag Billfold Wallet

If tactical isn’t your thing and you fancy yourself more of a sophisticated type, then the leather Airtag wallet from Geometric Goods is your best bet. It’s small, compact, but most importantly, chic, so you’ll feel great about pulling it out of your back pocket. But the coolest part about it is that it conceals the Airtag behind a sleek little slot. No one is ever the wiser.

What sets this wallet apart from the rest is personalization. Whether it’s a gift or for yourself, it comes with the ability to add up to four characters with custom engraving placement available upon request. As for color options, choose from four beautiful leather hues and three different rivet colors from gold to antique brass.

Like most wallets, this one doesn’t break down with use. Made from Italian full-grain vegetable-tanned leather, it ages beautifully and looks better with time. At least that makes one of us.

Material: Leather | Colors: 5 | Size: 3.9 x 3.75 x 1in | Style: Billfold

What To Look For In The Best Airtag Wallets

Materials

What your Airtag wallet is made of can determine how long it’s going to last. Leather and aluminum are the strongest and hold up well over time. Carbon fiber is also highly durable yet incredibly lightweight. Synthetic materials like polyurethane may be the cheapest, but they’re most likely to fall apart the fastest.

Size

Truth be told, thickness can make or break the best Airtag wallet, especially if you’re a front pocket kind of guy. In that case, the wallet should be under half an inch, with the sleekest options coming in at 0.2 inches. Besides the Ekster, none of them exceeds 0.5 inches in thickness.

Type

Bifold, minimalist, card, money clip… no matter which you choose, they all work pretty well. Bifolds are great for storage and cash, while minimalist designs are sleek, modern, and also boast some good card-carrying capabilities. Card Airtag wallets are the smallest, but they’re also great for the minimalist. No bulk here.

Final Verdict

The best wallet with Airtag should be durable, affordable, safe, and attractive, just like the Runbox Airtag wallet. Crafted in strong, premium leather and wrapped in durable carbon fiber, it looks both professional yet casual, all while carrying up to 15 cards.

FAQ

    • While some wallets have an Airtag attachment, the best Airtag wallets simply slide into the designated Airtag compartment. Pop it in and you’re good to go.

      • Once your Airtag is secured in its proper place in the wallet, feel free to go about your day. The Airtag comes with Bluetooth tracking, so if you ever lose your wallet, track it in the Find My app on your iPhone or other Apple devices.

        • It wouldn’t seem so at first glance, but an Airtag is absolutely thin enough for a wallet, barring the wallet has Airtag capabilities. It won’t usually fit in a conventional wallet due to space, so be sure to choose one of the best Airtag wallets from this list.

          • You use the Find My app in your iPhone, and you’ll be able to locate the exact location of your Airtag in an instant.
