Stargate SG-1 Officially Returns January 2027

Set within the beloved Stargate franchise, Stargate SG-1 took the world by storm when it aired back in 1997, with its final episode airing on Sky1 back in 2007. Based on the 1994 science-fiction movie Stargate, Stargate SG-1 became a ratings’ success, meeting critical acclaim in both Europe and Australia.

As such, it went on to receive eight Emmy nominations, and even inspired the animated television series Stargate Infinity, as well as multiple other spin-off shows, merchandise, books, and more.

Now, almost two decades after its season finale aired, Stargate SG-1 is back with a brand-new release which is guaranteed to appeal to fans of the beloved sci-fi series.

Courtesy of Master Replicas, Stargate SG-1 fans can now pre-order the Stargate SG-1 Jackal Guard Helmet Desktop Replica. Measuring an impressive 6″ (15cm), this brand-new piece of Stargate-inspired merchandise costs a respectable $69.99, and pre-ordering it now will see you receive it as early as January 2027.

As the official item description reads: “The latest Stargate desktop replica is an incredibly detailed replica of the helmet worn by Anubis’s Jaffa guards. Anubis was one of the most dangerous system lords. Centuries ago, he killed his master Apep and set himself up as the Emperor of the Goa’uld. This led to a civil war, which ended when Ra overthrew Anubis and banished him. At the turn of the 21st century, Anubis returned to assume command of the Goa’uld. Anubis was known as the jackal god and this was reflected in the design of the helmets worn by his Jaffa.

Interestingly enough, the Jackal helmets were only seen in both the Stargate movie and at the end of the show’s eighth season when they were worn by Jackal guards in Ra’s service. However, with their intricate design and formidable silhouette, it makes sense that they stuck in the minds of fans.

In order to capture the magic of the props, the Stargate SG-1 Jackal Guard Helmet Desktop Replica was digitally sculpted and cast in polyresin to “ensure a high level of accuracy.” Finally, it has been painted with incredible detail and at 6″ (15cm), it will be the perfect size to place on your shelf or desk, especially when displayed on its accompanying stand.

As mentioned, this brand-new piece of Stargate-inspired merchandise will be shipped out to customers at the start of the new year, so, if you think about it, it will make for the perfect belated Christmas gift, and is a sure-fire way to celebrate the beloved sci-fi franchise that still remains in the hearts of its fans.

So, if you are interested in securing yours, head over to Master Replicas and pre-order the Stargate SG-1 Jackal Guard Helmet Desktop Replica now.
