Tom Holland reveals his character’s current status as an Avenger ahead of the release of Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
In an interview with ScreenRant‘s LIam Crowley for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Holland believes that Peter Parker/Spider-Man is “sitting right in the pocket” and is “exactly where he belongs as a superhero” in the upcoming film. Peter is “really suffering” this time around, which has gotten worse because he’s been “neglecting his human side.” Putting all of his energy into protecting New York has come at a cost.
“When we’re talking about Spider-Man, I think he’s sitting right in the pocket. I think he’s exactly where he belongs as a superhero, but as Peter Parker, he’s really suffering. He’s really neglecting his human side. He’s giving every ounce of energy he has to protecting the city of New York, and that is coming at a cost.”
