Kenny Loggins just reunited with Footloose stars Kevin Bacon and John Lithgow for a surprise performance of the titular song on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
On the June 9 episode of the late-night show, the trio came together with host Jimmy Fallon for a “Classroom Instruments” version of “Footloose.” The segment began with Loggins, Fallon, and The Roots playing the medley of “I’m Alright,” “Danger Zone,” and “Your Mama Don’t Dance” on bright colored kid instruments.
That’s when Lithgow, 80 — who played the stern Reverend Shaw Moore in 1984’s Footloose — interrupted the jam session. “Wait a minute. Everybody listen to me,” he declared. “I object to this kind of music. It’s illegal in this building.”
Loggins, 78, replied, “Illegal?” to which Fallon, 51, insisted, “We’re just having fun.”
“Jump back! ” Bacon, 67 — who played Ren McCormack, the teenager from Chicago who fights against the ban on dancing in Bomont — yelled, as he suddenly popped into the frame with a ukulele. “Hey, I thought this was supposed to be a party. Let’s dance!”
The “Classroom Instruments” group then broke into “Footloose” for the rest of the segment.
In the comments of an Instagram post of the clip, fans shared their reactions to the surprise Footloose reunion. One exclaimed, “This is so much fun! Love the John Lithgow & Kevin Bacon cameos!”
Another shared, “This just gives me happy smiley face all over.”
Someone else replied, “What a treat!! Kenny Logins, Kevin Bacon, and John Lithgow. Fun!!”
A different Instagram user commented, “Love this!!!!! Sooooo fun!!! Can we go back!!!!?”
Meanwhile, yet another fan proclaimed, “I love everything about this!!!”

A 2011 remake starred Kenny Wormald, Julianne Hough, Dennis Quaid, Andie MacDowell, Miles Teller, Ray McKinnon, Patrick John Flueger, Craig Brewer, Ziah Colin, and more.
