The Golden Bachelor leading man, Gerry Turner, has chosen three women for his hometown dates, which will help him decide which of them he wants to spend his life with. Unlike the traditional Bachelor and Bachelorette series, Gerry has chosen three, not four, women for his hometown dates. He will travel to each of the women’s hometowns. Rather than meet his potential life partner’s parents, he’ll be meeting their children and grandchildren.
On The Golden Bachelor, 72-year-old Gerry began his journey with 22 women aged 60 or older. The group was narrowed down along the way, with some women being eliminated by Gerry at rose ceremonies, and others, such as Marina Perera and Joan Vassos, having to leave due to family obligations. Nancy Hulkower self-eliminated after getting injured during the pickleball group date, and realizing that her connection with Gerry wasn’t strong enough to last. At the final rose ceremony before hometowns, Gerry said painful goodbyes to Sandra Mason, Susan Noles, and Ellen Goltzer. Now he’ll visit the hometowns of his final three women.
Faith Martin
Faith is a 61-year-old local radio host, high school teacher, and singer from Benton City, Washington. During premiere night, she rode in on a motorcycle, and later played the guitar while she sang to Gerry. Gerry was so captivated by Faith that he gave her his first impression rose. Gerry waited until the final week before the hometown dates to give Faith a one-on-one date. They rode in a helicopter and landed on a yacht. They also spent some time in a hot tub together. On that date, Gerry gave Faith the rose, which meant that she’d be getting a hometown date. According to Reality Steve, Faith and Gerry filmed her hometown date on August 19.
Leslie Fhima
Leslie is a 64-year-old fitness instructor from Golden Valley, Minnesota. She caught Gerry’s eye on night one when she emerged from the limousine dressed as a much older woman with a walker. When Gerry asked if she needed help, she tossed the walker aside, and opened her housedress to reveal her beautiful dress. Leslie is a professional dancer, who once dated the legendary singer, Prince.
At the Golden Bachelor group date talent show, Leslie danced for Gerry. Although she often shares her sexy side, she’s sensitive as well. On their one-on-one date, Leslie and Gerry rode ATVs, and she confessed that she never felt so safe with a man. She shared that she’s been divorced twice. Although Leslie’s cautious with her heart, she shared that Gerry embodies all of the qualities that she looks for in a partner. According to Reality Steve, Leslie and Gerry filmed her hometown date on August 21.
Theresa Nist
Theresa is a 70-year-old financial services professional from Shrewsbury, New Jersey. The Golden Bachelor premiere night was her birthday, and Gerry surprised her with a cupcake. They shared a romantic kiss as well. Gerry chose Theresa for his first one-on-one date of the season, during which they bonded about their late spouses, and agreed that they had hope moving forward. They had a wonderful time joining a flash mob at a diner in a spirited and inspiring performance of Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing.” According to Reality Steve, Theresa and Gerry filmed her hometown date on August 23.
As Gerry moves forward on The Golden Bachelor, he has a very difficult decision to make. Faith, Leslie, and Theresa are three very different women, but each of them would make a wonderful partner for him. They’re sensitive, caring, intelligent, and beautiful. Like Gerry, they’re close to their families. Hopefully, visiting their hometowns will give Gerry the clarity he needs to make his final choice. With these three lovely women, he certainly can’t go wrong.
The Golden Bachelor airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
