Insidious: The Red Door is the fifth installment in the hugely popular horror franchise, bringing back plenty of familiar franchise characters for their deadliest and most dangerous adventure yet. The Insidious movies are notorious for their terrifying jump scares and haunting atmospheres, ranking them among the scariest and most intense horror films of the modern era. The newest entry promises to be just as frightening, as it sees patriarch Josh Lambert taking his son Dalton to a prestigious East Coast university only for demons to haunt them both.

Insidious: The Red Door is also the first movie in the franchise to be directed by Patrick Wilson, who has starred in both Insidious and Insidious: Chapter 2. It’s the actor’s filmmaking debut, and as a veteran of the franchise, he was the perfect person to sit in the director’s chair. Actor: Patrick Wilson made his way into movies in 2004 when he was cast in The Alamo​​​​​​.
