Ronnie Magro Seen Filming With Cast Again

Ronnie Ortiz Magro was seen filming alongside his former Jersey Shore: Family Vacation roommates for the first time in two years. Ronnie was one of the original members of the Jersey Shore cast. The star was best known for his toxic on-again-off-again relationship with Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola. Unlike Sammi, Ronnie returned for the spinoff series in 2018.

In 2021, three years after the spinoff series first aired, Ronnie stepped away from filming after he was yet again arrested for a domestic violence incident. Now, two years later, Ronnie is finally making his return to Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.

Late Friday, April 8, 2023, the Instagram account @mtv_reality_teaa shared photos of Ronnie filming in Florida. A majority of the rest of the cast is also currently spending Easter weekend in Florida filming for the show. The cast is allegedly staying at the Margaritaville Resort in Orlando. Although the photos did not show Ronnie with any of the other roommates, he was seen with some of the production team.

Ronnie Hasn’t Filmed With The Jersey Shore Cast In 2 Years

This is the first time Ronnie has been spotted filming in the same location as the cast in two years. Since stepping away, Ronnie has only made two brief cameos on the show. The first was for a sit-down lunch with co-star Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, during which Ronnie gave an update on his sobriety journey. Most recently, Ronnie made his second cameo appearance during season 6. This time Ronnie was not with any of his co-stars but again gave a life update. In the segment, Ronnie shared he now has full custody of his daughter Arianna.

It’s Unclear If Ronnie & Sammi Will Film Together On Jersey Shore

The timing of Ronnie’s sudden return is actually quite ironic. Just last month, his ex Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola announced her Jersey Shore: Family Vacation debut. Sammi had originally opted out of returning for the spinoff series in an effort to avoid drama with Ronnie; however, she decided to return since he was no longer filming. Now, just weeks after Sammi was spotted filming with the cast, Ronnie too is making his return. As of writing, Sammi was not spotted in Florida with the rest of the cast. Therefore, it is unclear if the two will be filming together for the show.

Because of their toxic past, it is understandable why Sammi would not want to film with Ronnie. When she announced her return, it was never made clear how permanent of a role she would play on the show. Now, with Ronnie’s sudden return, it could be assumed that Sammi only agreed to film for a few episodes before Ronnie rejoined the cast. Whether the ex-couple films together or not, there is no doubt the second half of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation season 6 will be full of drama.
