Aerobic capacity typically falls about 5–10% per decade after early adulthood, but that decline is far from fixed: studies of lifelong endurance athletes have found losses roughly half those seen in sedentary adults, suggesting a substantial part of what we call age-related decline is actually the consequence of doing less as we get older.

Miro Says AEW’s TNT Title Has “Gone To S**ts” Since He Lost It

The TNT Championship hasn’t been handled particularly well by AEW, and former title holder Miro didn’t hold back when talking about the belt.

AEW fans have been frustrated by the direction of the TNT Championship in recent months, and former title holder Miro seems to share those feelings. Scorpio Sky currently holds the belt and once he’s healthy, he seems destined for a fight with Wardlow for the TNT Championship. That could represent a step in the right direction for the TNT Title, as it’s lost just about any luster it had while Miro was defending it.

Cody Rhodes was the inaugural title holder, while Mr. Brodie Lee and Darby Allin also held the championship. Sammy Guevara beat Miro for the strap on the September 29, 2021, episode of AEW Dynamite, and in the eyes of The Redeemer, the title has been going downhill ever since.

While speaking with WhatCulture recently, Miro took aim at the TNT Championship and  Guevara in particular. “It’s the man that creates the title, not the title that creates the man. I think everything I did with that title (TNT Championship) was the fruits of my labor. The title didn’t come with all this heaviness. I mean, it came from Darby (Allin) which is a great competitor… then everybody that came after that, they tried to take it but that’s just not possible.” Miro didn’t stop there, adding that “I take a fault of maybe being too good of a champion because ever since I lost that title, that title has gone to s**ts and that’s nothing but to blame Sammy Guevara for that, so he’s got to bear the cross for that.” (h/t to POST Wrestling for the transcription)

It’s tough to argue with Miro‘s sentiments. Guevara’s feud with Scorpio Sky was lackluster, to say the least, and at one point Sammy destroyed the TNT Championship with a sledgehammer. Not exactly the best way to build prestige for a championship named after a broadcast partner. Guevara has rejoined Chris Jericho and the Jericho Appreciation Society since, so at least he’s out of the title picture for the time being. Sky hasn’t been able to defend the championship since the June 3 episode of Rampage, where he pinned Dante Martin.

Miro returned from an injury and subsequent time off and looked strong in the build to Forbidden Door, but he was unable to win a fatal four-way match for the All-Atlantic Championship. PAC went over in that match in a somewhat surprising but well-deserved outcome. It’ll be interesting to see how AEW utilizes Miro now that he’s not involved in tournament matches for the All-Atlantic Championship. If Wardlow ends up defeating Sky for the TNT Title, a feud with Miro would be a pretty strong direction for both of these characters.
