The 2024 Location Managers Guild Awards were presented Saturday night.

Mission: Impossible Dead Reckoning – Part 1 — filmed in Norway, the UK and Italy — won outstanding locations in a contemporary feature film. Oppenheimer, filmed throughout New Mexico, followed its Oscars dominance with the award for outstanding locations in a period feature film.

Fallout — filmed in Utah, New York and Namibia — won outstanding locations in a period TV series. Fargo, season five, filmed in Alberta, Canada, won outstanding locations in a contemporary TV series. Ripley, filmed around Italy, won outstanding locations in a TV serial program, anthology, movie of the week or limited series. All three series are nominated for multiple Emmy awards this year.

Toyota: “Present from the Past” (shot in Washington state) won best commercial while Film in Iceland for True Detective: Night Country won the award for best film commission.

The Motion Picture & Television Fund (MPTF) was honored with the LMGI Humanitarian Award, recognizing the 100-year-old organization’s commitment to leading the way in providing health and social services to the entertainment community.

Location manager Sue Quinn (the Fantastic Beasts, Harry Potter and Pirates of the Caribbean franchises) received the Lifetime Achievement Award. Quinn, a key figure in location management for three decades, was celebrated for her seamless integration of real-life locations with the magical world in almost 40 films.

And location manager Bill Bowling (Jupiter Ascending, Cloud Atlas) was recognized with the Trailblazer Award, celebrating five decades of a career in the production industry.

Rachael Harris (Suits, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, The Hangover) hosted the event at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills.
