3 New HBO Max Shows To Binge This Weekend (July 10–12)

The three best new shows to binge on HBO Max this weekend span a variety of genres and are all trending right now, including the #1 series worldwide. Following the announcement of its 122 Emmy nominations, which lead all streaming services and networks for 2026, HBO Max has so many great options to dive into this weekend, including all-time instant classics like The Pitt, Hacks, and DTF St. Louis. While these remain top picks, the following three series are particularly perfect to binge this weekend specifically.

This weekend features a short slate of three new series that offer a little something for all HBO Max subscribers. The first is a brand-new 4-part docuseries that chronicles the evolution of one of the biggest annual music festivals ever assembled. Another new HBO Max series features the return of a comedic legend following the conclusion of his 12-season Hollywood-based comedy series. Finally, ScreenRant’s number 1 show to binge this weekend on HBO Max is also the #1 show on the platform following the return of its highly-rated third season.

The Man Will Burn

The Man Will Burn is one of the most interesting new releases on HBO Max this week, as its series premiere just dropped on Thursday, July 9. For music lovers and festival goers, This Man Will Burn is a must-watch as it chronicles the origins of Burning Man, an annual arts & music festival that takes place in northern Nevada. The series showcases the evolution of the festival from its anti-establishment beginnings to its multi-million-dollar expansion that is now being funded by tech billionaires.

The title of the 4-part docuseries, The Man Will Burn, once alluded to the figurative capitalistic “man,” which is still to this day symbolically burned at the center of the festival grounds in Black Rock City, NV. Viewed through a modern lens, Burning Man has been overwhelmed by capitalistic interest, and concern has developed about maintaining the integrity and soul of the event. These four episodes, which will be released each Thursday sequentially in July, shine a light and pay tribute to one of the U.S.’s biggest annual public gatherings.

Life, Larry, And The Pursuit Of Unhappiness

Larry David is officially back on HBO Max with his new original comedy series Life, Larry, and the Pursuit of Unhappiness: an Almost History of America. After premiering on June 26, new episodes arrive weekly on Fridays, meaning that the third episode of the 7-part series is now available to stream. Life, Larry, and the Pursuit of Unhappiness features Larry in his true signature style, questioning social norms and employing hilarious judgment on others while exploring various moments in U.S. history.

Life, Larry, and the Pursuit of Unhappiness, which was executive produced by Barack and Michelle Obama, is meant to honor the 250-year history of the United States while also delivering viewers endless laughs. Through a wide array of sketches, the series features numerous guest appearances from acclaimed actors and personalities such as Jerry Seinfeld, Jimmy Kimmel, and the late Rob Reiner, who portrays George Washington in episode 2. Curb Your Enthusiasm fans simply can’t miss this new HBO Max series.

House Of The Dragon

Now that House of the Dragon is officially back on HBO Max with its highly-rated third season, there is no other show that’s better to watch this weekend than it. Taking over the glorified Sunday HBO slot, House of the Dragon season 3 currently has three episodes available to stream, with the fourth of eight arriving on July 12. Considering that the first two episodes of season 3 are among the highest-rated ever on IMDb, and season 3’s Rotten Tomatoes score is a series-high 94%, there’s truly no better time to be a House of the Dragon fan.

3 New Apple TV Shows To Binge This Weekend (July 10–12)

Apple TV has several great new streaming options to binge this weekend, July 10–12, 2026, including a feel-good sitcom and a massive sci-fi series.

Without getting into spoiler territory, House of the Dragon season 3 starts with a bang, picking up momentum instantly, which it will hope to carry throughout its remaining episodes. The dark fantasy series is led by outstanding performances by Matt Smith, Emma D’Arcy, Olivia Cooke, Fabien Frankel, and more, and serves as a worthy prequel series to one of the greatest shows of all time, Game of Thrones. If you’re unsure what to watch on HBO Max this weekend, House of the Dragon is a safe bet.
