Another day, another Unreal Engine 5 remake, but this time it’s The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time. Developer CryZENx’s latest project might have the most impressive water effects yet of any Nintendo remake, thanks to Fluid Flux from Krystian Komisarek. The latter is basically a powerful water system based on 2D shallow-water fluid simulations, complete with ocean wave blending as well as Niagara environment interaction.
Aside from the water effects, this Unreal Engine 5 remake also features an all-new lighting system, improved textures, a revamped menu system, and a more intuitive graphics setting menu. Plus, there’s NVIDIA DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) support. This AI rendering technology essentially increases graphics performance using dedicated Tensor Core AI processors on GeForce RTX GPUs. On the bright side, even the highest end gaming PC won’t cost you $870,000 USD, like this sealed and graded copy of The Legend of Zelda for the NES.
