‘Super Mario Starshine’, a Super Mario Galaxy 2 Fan Mod, Now Has a Demo Available
Think of ‘Super Mario Starshine’ as Super Mario Galaxy 2 meets Super Mario Sunshine, and a blast to play. It actually uses Super Mario Galaxy 2’s game engine, which means players will be able to take advantage of its floating mechanics as well as spin maneuvering during gameplay, complete with Yoshi and power-ups.

This fan mod comes from a gamer who goes by ‘SPG642’ online, and without Mario’s iconic F.L.U.D.D. (Flash Liquidizer Ultra Dousing Device). Since Mario doesn’t have the latter, platforming is going to require a bit more thinking than normal, while the 100 purple coins and Cosmic Clones also make an appearance. Want to try it out on official hardware? You’ll need a Nintendo Wii to play the demo. Yes, it also works on this custom-built Nintendo Wii portable.
