Astronomy Photographer of the Year is essentially annual exhibition showcasing the world’s greatest space photography held by the Royal Museums Greenwich. The 2022 exhibition is now open at the National Maritime Museum and features more than 100 photographs on brilliant lightbox displays until August 7, 2022. To start, we have the’ Oregon Coast’ by Marcin Zajac and ‘The Starry Sky Over the World’s Highest National Highway’ by Yang Sutie.

This competition is now in its 13th year, with last year’s drawing over 4,500 entries from 75 countries around the world. Before heading over the Royal Museums Greenwich in the UK, which is open from 10am -5pm daily, just know that all visitors must have a ticket to actually enter the exhibition, even if you’re already a member. How much do they cost? A reason able £10 ($11.93) for adults and £5 ($5.97) for children. For the world’s largest planetarium, you’ll have to head to the Shanghai Astronomy Museum.
