Called the Sky Cruise, designer Al-Ghaili envisions a futuristic nuclear-powered sky hotel concept that could one day become the largest aircraft ever. It would theoretically be powered by a highly controlled fusion reaction to provide it with unlimited energy, enabling the aircraft to stay in the sky for extended periods.
Why did Al-Ghaili come up with the Sky Cruise? Mainly because he wants flying to be a joyous experience rather than a place where passengers fight for leg space. The massive aircraft draws inspiration from Studio Ghibli’s ‘Castle in the Sky’, which features large flying ships with people living inside them. To catch sunrises or sunsets, there’s a 360° panoramic hall where guests can enjoy, while a lift would connect it to the main entertainment deck that would be filled with pools, restaurants, a shopping mall, theaters, and fitness centers.
