The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is reportedly preparing to discipline border agents who were falsely accused of having ‘whipped’ Haitian illegal immigrants for “administrative violations.”
The reports of coming administrative punishment comes despite the agents having been cleared of any criminal wrongdoing. Not to mention the photographic evidence indicating they had done nothing wrong during the incident.
Fox News is reporting that an announcement on the disciplinary actions for the border agents will be incoming soon.
“The charges,” they write, “are ‘administrative violations,’ and do not amount to criminal conduct – of which the agents were previously cleared.”
The Department will put forth recommendations for actions against those agents who will then have an opportunity to respond.

What a truly bizarre turn of events in the case of the border agents who had already been cleared for their conduct after being falsely accused by the media and politicians of having whipped illegal immigrants.

The administration could have quietly let this fade away, tails tucked firmly between their legs for having smeared those involved.
Instead, they appear to be hell-bent on making an example out of them.
Per federal source, this announcement is expected to come down any day now. It’s unclear what “administrative violations” the BP agents will be accused of, but they are not being accused of any criminal conduct. The horseback unit involved is based out of Carrizo Springs, TX.

Despite the numerous other broken promises made by President Biden, this one appears to be something he is following through on, perhaps convinced the Democrat voter base will admire him for punishing the agents.
“I promise you, those people will pay,” Biden said at the time. “There will be an investigation underway now and there will be consequences. There will be consequences.”
Remind me again how many people were disciplined for the botched Afghanistan withdrawal that led to dead service members, dead children, and Americans left behind enemy lines?

The ‘Whips’ Story Was a Lie From the Start
It’s unclear what “administrative violations” these border agents will be accused of having committed. In fact, there isn’t any indication as of yet that the violations involve this particular matter.
What is clear, however, is that the border agents didn’t ‘whip’ the illegal immigrants and were falsely smeared as having done so by President Biden and his colleagues.
“To see people treated like they did, horses barely running over, people being strapped – it’s outrageous,” the President had said, making a whipping motion with his hand for good measure.
Representative Ilhan Omar (D-MN) accused the agents of “systemic racism.”

Thus far, neither Omar nor Biden have bothered to apologize for the misinformation.
Even as photographic evidence emerged vindicating them. Alternate angles of the image used to attack border enforcement made it fairly clear from the onset that the agents weren’t ‘whipping’ anyone at all.
What’s unfathomable is the stupidity involved in thinking you’d get away with lying.

“We do not carry whips and the only thing I see in their hands is reins,” one agent said at the time.
Another agent pointed out that the reins are used to protect the horse or even to protect the person from the horse.
