The singer Marie Osmond has crossed something very special off her “crazy bucket list” after her brother Donny confirmed that they will not be performing together again.

Marie Stars In Soap Opera
Marie, 64, got to check starring in a soap opera off her bucket list when she appeared on “The Bold And The Beautiful” earlier this month. The New York Post reported that Marie made her debut as the calculating Countess Von Frankfurt on “The Bold and the Beautiful” on the episode that aired on October 17.
Marie was reportedly offered the role after her 11-year Las Vegas residency with Donny, 65, came to an end back in 2019.
“I was talking to Brad [Bell] and all this stuff, and he goes, ‘We need to have you on,’ and I went, ‘Oh my gosh, that would be incredible,’” Marie told Fox News.
“Well, years went by, and I just got so busy with Vegas, for example. When you have [an] 11-year residency, we had a real residency: five days a week, all year, off to tour summers and Christmas,” she added. “So, in order to do anything extracurricular was really, really tough with the schedule.”

Marie Is ‘Just Having Way Too Much Fun’
It was only when Marie’s residency ended that she started having time to cross things like this off her “bucket list.”
“My current album, ‘Unexpected,’ debuted No. 1 on Billboard, and, I mean, I’ve had hit records and No. 1s, but never debut,” she said. “It kept going up into the charts. It went up into the top ten, 29 different times and I went, ‘29 — my age.’”
“It did something, and something snapped. I swear to you, I went, ‘I can’t beat that’ and I went, ‘I want to do my bucket list.’ I want to do things that I’ve never been able to do because either I’m under contract or I can’t break a leg,” she continued. “I told my husband, I said, ‘I think I want to do all these crazy things’ and he says, ‘Go for it.’”

Another item that Marie checked off her “crazy” bucket list was jumping out of a plane.
“I’m terrified of heights and jumped out of an airplane. I climbed Mount Sinai with my son,” she said. “I went to Iceland with my husband. I zip-lined over — it was terrifying — 300 feet over this waterfall, and I’m doing ‘The Bold and the Beautiful.’ It’s a bucket list. It’s incredible. I’m just having way too much fun.”
Donny And Marie Won’t Be Reuniting
Earlier this year, Donny confirmed that he will never reunite with Marie onstage to perform together again.
“I miss working with her because we had such a rapport onstage, but that whole era is passed,” Donny told Entertainment Tonight. “It’s gone, it’s done.”
“I have been in this business for a long time. I learned to never say never, but there’s nothing in the back of my mind and I don’t think there is in the back of Marie’s mind of reuniting,” he continued. “Maybe a one-off, but to do a Las Vegas performance like we did for 11 years, with the Donny & Marie talk show for several years, there’s nothing that has really sparked both of our minds yet.”
