Far-left Democrat Ilhan Omar suggested that she and her fellow colleagues, Representatives Eric Swalwell and Adam Schiff, being kicked off their respective committees is a “threat to national security.”
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy formally rejected a last-ditch bid for Schiff and Swalwell to serve on the House Intelligence Committee, noting “integrity matters” earlier this week.
Swalwell has engaged in a reported relationship with a Chinese spy while Schiff has been accused of leaking classified information in order to propagate the Russia collusion hoax.
Omar is being considered by McCarthy for removal from the Foreign Affairs Committee, though he is receiving some pushback from squishy Republicans and would require a majority vote in the full House for the move to succeed.
The Minnesota lawmaker has described McCarthy’s efforts as “not only a political stunt, but also a blow to the integrity of our democratic institution and a threat to national security.”

Ilhan Omar Mad About Committee Moves
Ilhan Omar’s response to the committee rejections of her colleagues was at least a little more measured than say, Swalwell, whose estrogen-laden response included claims that ‘ZOMG, McCarthy is trying to get me murdered!’
Swalwell: “The cost are the death threats that Miss Omar, myself, and Mr. Schiff keep getting because McCarthy continues to aim and project these smears against us… It makes us believe there is an intent behind it.” pic.twitter.com/XRqefukgQX

Schiff responded by posting an embarrassing video to TikTok – an app closely tied to the Chinese Communist Party – about losing his committee spot.

Still, it’s funny hearing Omar discuss the “integrity of our democratic institution” and feigning concern for our national security.
She has, after all, been accused of funneling campaign cash to her husband, has a consistent history of anti-Semitic remarks, and in 2019 the Minneapolis Star Tribune reported on documents raising questions as to whether she previously married her own brother as a means to “skirt immigration laws.”
Integrity? Not exactly a priority for Ms. Omar.
Not to mention, she equated actions taken by the United States and Israel to those perpetrated by the Taliban and Hamas. As such, her role on the House Foreign Affairs Committee should have been terminated long, long ago.
This is no political stunt! You are a threat to national security! https://t.co/8s7UhfcYER

Says Removing Her From Africa Subcommittee Is … You Guessed It
For those disappointed that Omar hadn’t taken the typical route and blamed everything on racism, you’re in for a treat.
Omar, a member of the Subcommittee on Africa, Global Health, and Global Human Rights, accused McCarthy of all sorts of bigotry for potentially having her removed.
“As the only African born, not being on the Africa subcommittee is not just an elimination of a unique voice but an elimination of all the voices that have never been heard on a committee on the continent,” she tweeted.
“It’s racist, xenophobic and discriminatory.”
Whoa! That’s a race card trifecta right there.
As the only African born, not being on the Africa subcommittee is not just an elimination of a unique voice but an elimination of all the voices that have never been heard on a committee on the continent.
It’s racist, xenophobic and discriminatory.

This is all old hat for Omar, who fled Somalia with her family as a child.
In 2019 she penned an op-ed column in the New York Times where she claimed to have experienced prejudice in America since day one “as a visibly Muslim woman.”
Representative Victoria Spartz (R-IN) and Nancy Mace (R-SC) have said they oppose removing Omar from the committee.
