Herschel Walker lies so much to his own campaign that his own staff called him a pathological liar and questioned his mental fitness.
Emails and texts show advisers discussing how they don’t trust Walker—both to tell the truth to them and to handle campaign events properly—and harboring concerns that he isn’t mentally fit for the job.
He spouts falsehoods “like he’s breathing,” this adviser said—so much so that his own campaign stopped believing him long ago.
“He’s lied so much that we don’t know what’s true,” the person said, adding that aides have “zero” trust in the candidate. Three people interviewed for this article independently called him a “pathological liar.”
Herschel Walker Is Trailing In The Polls
Voters in Georgia don’t seem to be fooled by anything that Walker is trying to pull. Polling shows that he trails Sen. Raphael Warnock by ten points, and his campaign can be boiled down to tightly managed appearances and interviews in conserative media.
If Herschel Walker was not a former Georgia football legend, he would be an afterthougt in the US Senate.
Herschel Walker Sounds A Lot Like Donald Trump
The descriptions of Herschel Walker’s behavior from those who work with him sound a lot like the descriptions of Donald Trump. Trump has also been described as a pathlogical liar who lacks the mental fitness to hold office. Given their similiarities, it is understandable why they hold each other in such high regard.
Herschel Walker has brought nothing, but chaos to the Senate race in Georgia. Republican hopes of taking back the Senate hinged on Walker flipping the Georgia seat. If he loses to Sen. Warnock, and John Fetterman wins the open seat in Pennsylvania, Democrats are like to keep their majority in the US Senate.
