Gov. Greg Abbott amped up his anti-immigrant hysteria and showed how much of a threat Beto O’Rourke is to him on Fox News.
Greg Abbott Suggests Letting Mexicans Into America Destroys The Country

Greg Abbott says Beto O’Rourke will destroy America if he is elected governor of Texas, “It would be a crushing disaster from which we may never recover from Beto O’Rourke were working hand in hand with Joe Biden and the president of Mexico. It would destroy our country.” pic.twitter.com/FqBUtbwn9m

Abbott said on Fox News’s Sunday Morning Futures, “Can you imagine anything worse in the United States of America than having Lopez Obrador working with Biden and O’Rourke with the open door — border policies? My fellow Americans, it would be a crushing disaster from which we may never recover from Beto O’Rourke were working hand in hand with Joe Biden and the president of Mexico. It would destroy our country.”
Greg Abbott has done everything imaginable to trigger racist dog whistles outside of going to the border and physically building a wall himself.
Greg Abbott Is Scared Of Beto O’Rourke
Gov. Abbott has turned racism dial up to maximum because Beto O’Rourke put the fear of God into Texas Republicans when he nearly knocked off Ted Cruz in the state’s US Senate race a few years ago.
O’Rourke is running a strong anti-incumbent campaign in a year where voter disenchantment with incumbents is high. O’Rourke has not been afraid to confront Abbott face to face as he did after the Uvalde school shooting.
A poll last week showed that Abbott’s unfavorable ratings are at an all-time high, and O’Rourke has cut his lead down to six points, which is less than what Ann Richards led George W. Bush by the last time an incumbent Texas governor was ousted from office.
Beto O’Rourke could beat Greg Abbott, which is why the governor is making absurd claims like an O’Rourke victory would destroy America.
