Bud Light has lost billions of dollars since teaming up with the transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney for an ad campaign back in April. Now, the backlash has gotten to be so great that Mulvaney has fled the country and headed to Peru, saying that she feels “very safe” outside of the United States.

Mulvaney Flees America
“Okay, surprise,” Mulvaney, 26, said in a new TikTok video. “I’m in Peru! I’m at Machu Picchu. Isn’t this so beautiful?”
“I’ve seen a lot of llamas,” the influencer added. “The people here are so kind. I feel very safe here. It’s a little sad that I had to leave my country to feel safe, but that will get better eventually.”
Mulvaney went on to explain that she travelled to Machu Picchu, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, for a journey that is both personal and spiritual.
“I came here to feel something. And I definitely have,” Mulvaney stated. “I have done shaman ceremonies that were like 10 years worth of therapy, it was wild.”

Bud Light has lost over 27 billion since teaming up with Mulvaney for the ad campaign, with conservatives everywhere responding with a highly effective boycott of the brand.
Bud Light sales are reportedly down 30% from where they were last June, and the brand “is showing no signs of rebounding from its slump,” according to Fox News.
“Bud Light’s missteps felt like a betrayal to both its liberal and conservative customers, and that trust is going to take months, if not years, to rebuild,” Daniel Korschun, an associate professor of marketing at Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business, recently told The New York Times.

Earlier this week, Bud Light was humiliated when it fell out of the top ten most popular beers in America, plummeting all the way to fourteenth.

Mulvaney Ditches Bud Light
Things got even worse for the beer company at the end of June, when Mulvaney posted a video to social media in which she turned on Bud Light.
“I was waiting for the brand to reach out to me, but they never did. I’ve been scared to leave my house,” Mulvaney said. “For a company to hire a trans person and then not publicly stand by them is worse than not hiring a trans person at all.”
“Because it gives customers permission to be as transphobic and as hateful as they want. There’s should be nothing controversial or divisive about working with us,” the transgender influencer continued. “I have been ridiculed in public I’ve been followed and I have felt a loneliness that I wouldn’t wish on anyone.”
Mulvaney proceeded to double down on her claim that she was afraid to leave her home amidst the backlash.
“And for months now, I’ve been scared to leave my house, I have been ridiculed in public, I’ve been followed, and I have felt a loneliness that I wouldn’t wish on anyone,” Mulvaney added. “And I’m not telling you this because I want your pity, I am telling you this because this is my experience from a very privileged perspective, know that it is much, much worse for other trans people.”

It’s safe to say that Bud Light has learned the hard way that “go woke, go broke” is a saying that should be taken very seriously. If Mulvaney is so unhappy in America, perhaps the transgender influencer should consider leaving for good, because it doesn’t seem like she’s very missed here now that she’s gone.
