At least 25 House Democrats are preparing to call for President Biden to end his re-election bid following his disastrous debate performance against former President Donald Trump.
The news comes via an overnight report by Reuters.
Last week’s debate performance saw the President often looking bewildered, slurring his words, misstating facts, and losing his train of thought with his “mouth agape.”
It was a stark contrast to his rival who was often viewed as engaged and energetic through the benefit of a split-screen setup.
The Political Insider wrote Tuesday that a handful of Democrats and media outlets had begun publicly calling on Biden to step away from his campaign.
Former longtime Ohio Congressman Tim Ryan piped up on social media, while Rep. Lloyd Doggett (D-TX) became the first sitting member to issue the call.
Now, however, according to Reuters, the dam has broken.

A Revolt Amongst Democrats
Reuters is now reporting that dozens of House Democrats are prepared to call on President Biden to end his re-election campaign.
It seems though, that they’re giving him one more chance before fully committing.
“There are 25 Democratic members of the House of Representatives preparing to call for Biden to step aside if he seems shaky in coming days,” they write.
As one might expect, these members aren’t concerned so much with the well-being of the man or even the well-being of the nation he leads. It’s their own re-election campaigns that have them in a tizzy.
Moderate House Democrats in competitive districts, according to one source on the inside, indicated they “were getting hammered with questions in their districts this week” after Biden figuratively wet the bed on live television.
“It looks like the dam has broken,” one aide told Reuters.
How bad is the break? Even former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi dropped a bombshell on Tuesday when she said any questions about whether Biden’s health – or Trump’s for that matter – was a sign of a “condition” were legitimate.
“I think it’s a legitimate question to say, ‘Is this an episode or is this a condition?’ And so when people ask that question, it’s legitimate, of both candidates,” Pelosi said.

Biden Campaign In Peril
It’s a remarkable thing watching Julius Caeser get knifed by his colleagues in real-time.
It sure looks like there is a coup effort afoot behind the scenes of the Democrat National Committee. President Biden’s cognitive struggles have been prevalent and well-documented for some time.
The public was well-versed in his octogenarian-level issues both from a mental and physical standpoint. And yet his team demanded a debate against Trump in late June? Over four months out from the election? Could they have been getting this out in the open in the hopes there’d be enough time to find his replacement?
Nobody was shocked by what happened at the first presidential debate. Any Democrat who claims to be shocked is not being honest.
They used fake Oval Office sets to allow large enough teleprompters to get Biden through his speeches. They used cheat sheets to direct every single move. They even gave him shorter steps to navigate on Air Force One so he didn’t trip.
Think about that. These 25 Democrats or others who might be quietly murmuring in the background saw President Biden putting America in harm’s way with his obvious infirmity. But it wasn’t until he started putting their re-election chances in harm’s way that they actually prepared to do something about it.
