Democrats appear to be in panic mode over the Senate race in Georgia, with Barack Obama scheduled to make a campaign stop in Atlanta Friday and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer caught on a hot mic saying things are going “downhill.”
Obama is set to headline a rally for Sen. Raphael Warnock and Democratic candidate for governor and Election Denier™ Stacey Abrams as the 2022 midterm elections are fast approaching.
CNN reports that he makes this appearance with his own midterm “shellacking” on top of mind.
“The campaign seasons of 2010 and 2014 were among the lowest points of his presidency,” they note, referencing Democrats losing the House and ceding the majority of governorships in 2010, while Republicans took back control of the Senate in 2014.
And, of course, he was delivered a stinging rebuke when voters opted for Donald Trump in 2016 rather than a defacto third term under Hillary Clinton.
Still, CNN writes, Obama is “in high demand in the closing stretch of this election.”
The move reeks of desperation, and is notable in that the Democrat Party’s current leader, Biden, is not in such demand.
Today, Democrats are dispatching a current and a former president to battleground states as Election Day rapidly approaches. https://t.co/zRWt95cixZ

Schumer Caugh on Hot Mic Worried About Georgia
Chuck Schumer was caught on a hot mic Thursday expressing concerns about the Senate race in Georgia.
Senator Raphael Warnock is currently engaged in a tight battle with Republican Senate candidate Herschel Walker there, in a race that could very well determine who holds the balance of power come January.
“The state where we’re going downhill is Georgia,” Schumer was heard telling President Biden during a visit to New York. “It’s hard to believe that they will go for Herschel Walker.”
Actually, it’s not at all hard to believe that Georgia’s favorite son would be popular and have a chance to be elected.

This was Biden’s second trip to the left-wing cesspool of New York, making one wonder if there are concerns that Governor Kathy Hochul could be defeated by her challenger, Republican Lee Zeldin.
Obama and Schumer’s concerns appear to be coming to fruition. Walker, despite an active smear campaign being waged over his past, currently holds a shocking 5-point lead over Warnock according to Rasmussen.
As Georgians learn more about @ReverendWarnock’s horrible voting record, the eviction of tenets from his church’s low-income housing unit, and more, they are turning to @HerschelWalker to once again be a champion for their state. https://t.co/nOO5ync7HH

Joy Reid Calls Herschel Walker an Unthinking ‘Prop’
MSNBC host Joy Reid – how she still holds this position is anybody’s guess – dropped a racist insult against Walker, saying he is little more than a “prop” for white Republicans.
“What they want is Herschel, who’s gonna sit there quietly and nod, and nod, and nod while he’s being pointed to as if he is a prop,” Reid claimed.
👀@JoyAnnReid tells the — **checks notes** — former African-American head of the RNC that Republicans only want to use black people as props.
The irony is neither she, nor Steele, recognized how demeaning and insulting it was for him…https://t.co/xKzB8QfPF9

MSNBC contributor Elie Mystal called Walker “clearly unintelligent” and “what Republicans want from their negroes.”
The Georgia Senate candidate responded with class to MSNBC and Mystal, stating, “I’m gonna pray for both of them because they need Jesus.”
Democrats in general might need Jesus to save them in the midterms. Obama, following his trip to Atlanta, will also be campaigning in pivotal races in Michigan, Wisconsin, Nevada, and then Pennsylvania.
Schumer’s hot mic moment caught him actually expressing optimism in the Keystone State.
“The debate didn’t hurt us too much in Pennsylvania,” he told Biden, referencing the horrific display put on by Democrat John Fetterman when he went toe-to-toe on stage with Republican Mehmet Oz.

The first post-debate poll however shows Oz, who had been trailing in this race from the onset, leading by 3 points.
In addition to Obama visiting Pennsylvania, President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris will be making a rare joint appearance there on Friday.
Imagine how bad things must be for @JohnFetterman if they’re calling in these two dolts for backup… pic.twitter.com/WzVkTWAd3H
