Jamaal Bowman, a far-left Democrat Representative from New York, suggests Elon Musk’s vote for Mayra Flores, a Mexican-born soon-to-be congresswoman, is an example of how he “supports white supremacy.”
A successful African-American billionaire voting for a Hispanic woman somehow leads to allegations that Elon Musk “supports white supremacy.”
Bowman was responding directly to a tweet in which Musk said Flores, who defeated Democrat Dan Sanchez in a special election to fill the vacant seat in Texas’ 34th Congressional District earlier this week, was the first Republican he ever voted for.
“Massive red wave in 2022,” the Tesla CEO added.
I voted for Mayra Flores – first time I ever voted Republican.
Massive red wave in 2022.

Mainly, the ‘if somebody supports a person I do not, then pivot by alleging racism’ card.
Retweeting Musk’s message announcing Flores as the first Republican he has ever voted for, while predicting a ‘Red Wave’ in the midterms, Bowman responded in a fiery fashion.
“Elon Musk is not a leader,” he shot back.
“He’s just another Republican billionaire who supports white supremacy and authoritarianism because he doesn’t want his workers to unionize or to pay his fair share in taxes,” Bowman further claimed.

The GOP just tried to end democracy and now he’s supporting them. https://t.co/WArBQQsHK5

Bowman Claims Republicans Tried to End Democracy
Jamaal Bowman’s response to Elon Musk celebrating the victory of Mayra Flores is curious, to say the least.
He further accused Musk of siding with the GOP who, in his mind, “just tried to end democracy.”
Bowman is seemingly referencing the Capitol riot, though he fails to note that Democrats have a rich history of casting doubt on election results and even objecting to certifying electoral votes in past elections.
The New York Democrat raised eyebrows over the weekend when he claimed that black and brown “lives are in the balance” and implied that a civil war could be in play if Republicans win the midterm elections.
This was during a discussion of the January 6th riot.
Member of the US House of Representatives from New York State Jamaal Bowman stated:
“If the Republican Party regains power after the midterm elections, the “white nationalists” will muster up the courage and start a civil war…” pic.twitter.com/1Acps6rguM

Bowman claimed the GOP, upon taking control of Congress should they win the midterms, would abolish the select committee investigating the riot and move to immediately impeach President Biden.
“It would also embolden Republicans and the far-right, and white nationalists across the country to begin to believe that it is their time to not just take power in the House, but the Senate, the White House, and state houses across the country,” he said.
The Squad member added, “Our democracy is hanging by a thread, and Black and Brown people, our lives are in the balance if these people come back into power.”

Mayra Flores ‘Historical’ Win in Texas
Mexican-American Republican Mayra Flores won the special election in a Texas district that President Joe Biden carried by four points in 2020 and the Democrat incumbent won by 13.6.
The district’s residents are predominantly Hispanic – a solid 85% according to CensusReport.org.
Some are calling Flores’ win in the district nothing short of “historic”.
“I don’t think we understand how incredible, historical that win is,” Abraham Enriquez, president of @bienvenido_us said of Tuesday’s special election win by @MayraFlores2022, the first R elected in Texas’ Rio Grande Valley since Reconstruction. @NRO https://t.co/sykutBdZcm
