Insiders to Joe Biden’s campaign have described the President’s mood following last week’s debate against Donald Trump as “humiliated”, indicating he is aware images from the performance will live well into the future.
The news comes from sources cited by NBC News.
The astounding report notes that one source described Biden as “humiliated, devoid of confidence and painfully aware that the physical images of him at the debate — eyes staring into the distance, mouth agape — will live beyond his presidency.”
NBC notes that the images from the debate – an engaged and animated Trump on a split screen with Biden – include a performance described by the outlet as “at times … meandering, incoherent and difficult to hear.”
It is a remarkable admission from a media that in months prior did their best to push a White House narrative that unflattering videos of Biden were “cheap fakes.”

Biden Humiliated After Debate Performance
The President is what he is at this point. It’s really Biden’s campaign, and perhaps First Lady Jill Biden, who should feel humiliated following the debate performance.
According to the source in the NBC News report, Mrs. Biden is the only person President Biden is listening to at this point.
“The only person who has ultimate influence with him is the first lady,” the source person said. “If she decides there should be a change of course, there will be a change of course.”
They indicate the campaign right now is “a mess.”
Every voter who has kept a close eye on the comings and goings of Biden in the past four years is acutely aware of the “mess” the leader of the free world has become.

Discussions About His Campaign
Despite the NBC News report indicating President Joe Biden has discussed the future of his campaign with family and close aides at Camp David, Maryland, there is no indication the Democrat plans to drop out of the race.
The trip was pre-planned before the debate debacle and, even with Biden feeling ‘humiliated’ over his performance, he still seems optimistic about his chances.
In fact, he told donors at a private party, according to NJ.com, that his debate performance actually “convert(ed) more undecided voters than Trump did.”
It didn’t. Reuters reports that a group of undecided voters they spoke to following the first presidential debate “delivered their verdicts after the contest and it was almost universally bad news for Biden.”
Biden’s aides are denying there are any plans for him to get out of the race.
Jill seems unwilling to relinquish power despite her husband’s condition, and the two may have to factor in Hunter Biden’s sentencing when considering stepping down. The President has insisted he would not pardon his son. If he knows he’s on his way out of the White House, he may feel pressured to renege on that declaration.
