As average Americans are in a daily struggle to pay for things like gas to get to work and food to feed their families in the Biden economy, other people go to work and seem to have a lot of time on their hands while they are there.
June begins “Pride month.” A month billed as a celebration of those three favorite words of the left: diversity, equity, and inclusion. But does that really include everyone?
Thread: Books I own that Amazon’s protesting employees probably want to ban.
Feel free to add your own ideas as we go along… this is a long-term project.

You’ll Agree With Me Or Else!
In a display of that extreme tolerance and inclusion of others’ differing views and opinions, a group of roughly 30 Amazon employees at the company’s Seattle corporate headquarters held a “die-in” protest.
During the company’s annual raising of the pride flag, the group laid on the ground and pretended to be dead with transgender flags draped across their bodies.
The protest was organized by a group of employees called “No Hate at Amazon” to protest Amazon selling books they deem “transphobic.”

The “die-in” is a play on the famous “sit-in” protests of the 1960’s, when the left held the exact opposite position: radical free speech, rather than today’s radical censorship views.
A spokesman for Amazon had this “please don’t call us homophobes” response to the protest:
“As a company, we believe strongly in diversity, equity, and inclusion. As a bookseller, we’ve chosen to offer a very broad range of viewpoints, including books that conflict with our company values and corporate positions. We believe that it’s possible to do both – to offer a broad range of viewpoints in our bookstore, and support diversity, equity, and inclusion. We respect our employees’ right to express themselves without fear of retaliation, intimidation, or harassment.”

Not Their First Rodeo
This is not No Hate at Amazon’s first tryout for the thought police. In July of 2021, the group distributed a petition demanding that Amazon discontinue selling two books in particular.
“Irreversible Damage,” by Abigail Shrier looks at the increased numbers of young women who are identifying as transgender, and some of the severe medical procedures they are undergoing.
“Johnny the Walrus” by conservative pundit and author Matt Walsh, is a children’s book, and looks at the transgender phenomenon allegorically through the lens of a boy who wants to be a walrus.
The books have been described by the group as “anti-trans hate books.”
Amazon has over 1.5 million employees. 30 are upset. Step over them and stop letting a ridiculous minority set policy. If they don’t get up & go back to work, fire them. https://t.co/SvycaLO2Zh

Freedom To Believe
It goes without saying that rational Americans want everyone to be treated with dignity and fairness.
That being said, here’s what I want to know.
The question is, who do you think you are?! Who do you think you are that you have the authority or the ability to tell anyone else what to think about anything? Most Americans do not care what color the guy standing next to him is, they don’t care where he’s from, how much money he has, what he does for a living, or if he is short, tall, fat, or skinny. And contrary to what might be believed, they really don’t care who he’s sleeping with, or who or what he identifies as.
The answer to those so offended by the existence of books they don’t like is simple: don’t buy the book. If working for such a horrid business offends you (or maybe just working period offends you), then get another job.
This is America. You are free to do all of those things.
For now.
