Which of these “Big 4” bands is the better thrash band – Anthrax or Megadeth? That’s the question at the center of this week’s Chuck’s Fight Club on the Loudwire Nights radio show.
Anthrax represent the East Coast faction of thrash’s “Big 4” of the ’80s. The group was founded in 1981 and they’ve amassed 11 studio albums that have included such standouts as “Madhouse,” “Indians,” “Bring the Noise,” “Only,” “Ball of Confusion” and more.
Megadeth, meanwhile, formed in 1983 after Dave Mustaine’s split with Metallica. They’ve issued 16 studio albums with hits such as “Symphony of Destruction,” “Foreclosure of a Dream,” “Sweating Bullets,” “Angry Again,” “A Tout Le Monde,” “Trust,” “Crush ‘Em,” “Public Enemy No. 1” and “Dystopia.”
