Singer-songwriter Gina Zollman is having a moment. She just scored a nomination for Vocalist of the Year (Adult Contemporary) at the 2025 Josie Music Awards—one of indie music’s biggest nights—and dropped a new 17-track album, Originals, that proves exactly why she belongs on that stage.
The Josies, held this fall at Nashville’s iconic Grand Ole Opry House, spotlight the best independent artists across genres. For Zollman, the nod feels like both validation and a fresh beginning.
“To be nominated in such a strong field—and at this stage in my journey—is honestly overwhelming in the best way,” says Zollman. “Originals is the most honest work I’ve ever done.”
Teaming up again with longtime collaborator Kevin Fisher, Zollman bends genres with fearless ease—stitching adult contemporary, jazz-pop, and modern folk into something distinctly hers. Tracks like “Any Road You Choose,” “Heartbreak Highway,” “You,” and fan-favorite “Garden Grove, California” showcase her signature blend of vulnerability, wit, and lyrical grit.
The album’s release runs parallel with her acclaimed stage show, ORIginaLS—a one-woman, cabaret-style performance that blurs the line between concert and memoir. With sold-out nights at The Gardenia in Hollywood and the Arthur Newman Theater in Palm Desert, Zollman’s live storytelling has become as essential to her artistry as the songs themselves.
