While BLACKPINK claims the top six debuts on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart dated Oct. 1, a handful of American, Latin and Asian acts arrive elsewhere on the global surveys. Of those, especially notably, Colombia’s Feid scores his third entry in the last month, and his sixth since mid-July.
Feid arrives at No. 123 with “Prohibidox,” propelled by 11.4 million official streams outside the U.S. in the week ending Sept. 22, according to Luminate, marking one of his four simultaneously charting hits on the ranking.
Feid’s hot streak kicked off on the July 23-dated Global Excl. U.S. chart, when “Normal” and “La Inocente,” the latter with Mora, debuted at Nos. 45 and 170, respectively. After dipping from its starting point and peak, the former has stabilized and the latter has steadily grown, reaching No. 98. They currently place at Nos. 118 and 121, respectively.
The next month, “Si Te La Encuentras Por Ahí” joined the party, debuting at its No. 83 high on the Aug. 20-dated list.
In September, Feid added “Feliz Cumpleaños Ferxxo”, arriving on the Sept. 3-dated chart and leaping to No. 60 this week. On the Sept. 24 tally, “Ferxxo 100” debuted at No. 195.
That brings us to “Prohibidox,” new at No. 123 on Global Excl. U.S., as well as at No. 172 on the Billboard Global 200. The track debuts following the Sept. 14 release of Feid’s Feliz Cumpleaños Ferxxo Te Pirateamos El Álbum.
Feid’s accumulation of hits is significant, as he had not charted as a sole lead artist prior to July. For the Global Excl. U.S. chart’s first 12 weeks, beginning in September 2020, he was represented by the all-star collaboration “Porfa,” alongside J Balvin, Maluma, Nicky Jam, Sech and Justin Quiles. This April, he charted with “Pantysito,” with Alejo and Robi.
Given how collaborative Latin music’s biggest stars are, Feid’s growth from team-ups to a host of solo hits places him in notable company. Among core Spanish-language artists, only Bad Bunny (16) and Rauw Alejandro (four) have as many hits as Feid on the latest Global Excl. U.S. chart.
