Disturbed and Heart singer Ann Wilson collaborated on “Don’t Tell Me” on the former’s 2022 studio album, Divisive. Now, with the tune climbing into the Top 15 at rock radio, a music video has been released for the track.
Disturbed frontman David Draiman said in a statement, “I have tremendous respect for Ann. In my humble opinion, she’s the greatest female rock voice of all time. I think she’s untouchable. I feel like we were very gifted to have her be a part of this.”
Wilson added, “I was honored when I got the call from David Draiman. Disturbed did a version of [Simon & Garfunkel’s] ‘The Sound of Silence’ that my husband and I both really dug. And so, when the opportunity came to sing a duet with him on a song that meant so much to David emotionally, I jumped at the chance. And then the video turned out great, which is yet another cherry on top. Hopefully we’ll find a time to perform ‘Don’t Tell Me’ live together at some point. If they call, I’m there.”
Meanwhile, Disturbed are days away from embarking on a 2024 US tour with support from Falling in Reverse and Plush. The trek kicks off January 19th in Peoria, Illinois, and runs through a March 3rd date in Las Vegas. Pick up tickets here.
Disturbed are also nominated for Best Metal Performance for “Bad Man,” off Divisive, at the upcoming 66th Annual Grammy Awards. This mark’s the band’s third Grammy nomination.
