Cardi B has shared her new song “Hot Shit,” which features Kanye West and Lil Durk. It’s produced by Tay Keith. Check it out below.
In a new interview with Zane Lowe about the song, Cardi revealed that it’s “a little bit older than ‘WAP’” and was originally recorded in 2019. She discussed West’s contribution to the track coming together in the recent past.
In the interview, she also said she has another single ready to go, “and right after that, I really just want to put that album together.”
The song’s release marks Cardi B’s first single as a solo artist since 2021’s “Bet It.” Following that track, Cardi teamed up with Summer Walker and SZA for their extended version of “No Love,” which also landed with a music video. This spring, Cardi joined fellow Bronx rappers Kay Flock and Dougie B for their song “Shake It.”
In 2021, Cardi collaborated with Lizzo (“Rumors”), Normani (“Wild Side”), Migos (“Type Shit”), and Summer Walker (“Bitter”). That same year, Cardi B also performed “Up” and “WAP” at the 2021 Grammy Awards.
