Kyle Richards and Kathy Hilton might be feuding after filming The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 12. The possible feud came as a shock to fans as the two sisters made extraordinary leaps in repairing their relationship. For years Kyle had been trying to get Kathy on RHOBH, but the eldest Richards sister never wanted to. Since season 11 was filmed during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Kathy thought she’d give it a try as a friend of the cast.
Despite Kathy’s apprehension about joining RHOBH, she had a blast filming with her sister Kyle. Before the show, Kathy had never been on a girl’s trip and was excited to go on her first one with Kyle. Throughout season 11, Kathy became one of the most iconic RHOBH ladies to ever appear on the show, thanks to her sister. The mother of Paris Hilton would come up with off-the-cuff one-liners that added much-needed comic relief. Despite the fun they had, Kyle and Kathy’s relationship may be on the rocks again.
After hearing what happened with Kathy in Aspen while filming the season 12 cast trip, her relationship with Kyle became questionable. Rumors began to swirl that Kathy had allegedly called Sutton Stracke’s assistant an inappropriate slur, which Sutton has since debunked, and that Kathy was the cause of some drama while in Aspen. While no one knows exactly what happened on their trip, the RHOBH season 12 trailer did give fans an idea of what might have gone down. In the trailer, Kathy has a sit-down with Kyle and fellow castmate Lisa Rinna, where the latter calls Kathy out for not being a good sister. “You said some things about this beautiful sister of yours,” Lisa declares during their conversation, adding, “I’m sorry, Kathy. You’re not gonna get away with it.”
Kyle cries in the trailer, stating, “I feel like you hate me or something. How could you say those things?” Kathy had clearly said something about Kyle behind her back that upset her. While speaking to E! News earlier this week, Kathy alludes to what may have caused this feud between her and her younger sister. “I don’t want to give away the storyline. I should have never said anything to anyone about my sister Kyle or anyone,” she shared. Kathy didn’t say whether or not she and Kyle are on speaking terms, but one of her costars may have. During an episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, RHOBH costar Garcelle Beauvais admitted that she is closer Kathy than Kyle as of now. Kyle was not too fond of that comment, and Garcelle quickly apologized. However, Kyle didn’t confirm or deny if what Garcelle was saying is true.
While fans don’t know if Kyle and Kathy are feuding right now, it seems there might be a strain between them. In the season 12 trailer for RHOBH, the two sisters have a sit down that may have been the catalyst to their current alleged fractured relationship. Viewers will have to wait and see what happens when the season premieres on May 11.
