To find the Retro Runway Fridge loot cache in Call of Duty: Warzone 2 DMZ, players must explore the runway of the Al Malik Airport in Al Mazrah.
Call of Duty: Warzone 2 DMZ’s map of Al Mazrah is expansive and packed with hidden loot caches to discover, such as the Retro Runway Fridge. While it is unknown if this fridge is a subtle nod to the “nuke fridge” of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, the container has a high chance of granting combatants worthwhile valuables. The loot pool can include rewards such as thousands of dollars, a Key to another loot cache, or a high-tier Armor Vest. Nonetheless, finding the Retro Runway Fridge in the DMZ can be quite challenging for those unfamiliar with the stash’s location.
The Retro Runway Fridge can be found within the Al Malik Airport of Al Mazrah in Warzone 2 DMZ. More specifically, survivors must make their way to the eastern end of the collapsed runway built atop the water.
Players can swim to this location after arriving at the airport or find a military boat and ride it to the loot cache’s location. Naturally, using a vehicle to travel to the fridge is faster than swimming, but it is bound to attract attention from hostile NPCs or other players.
Retro Runway Fridge’s Location in Warzone 2 DMZ
For clarification, the Al Malik Airport is located in the southeastern corner of the DMZ’s map and is adjacent to the Al Bagra Fortress, Sariff Bay, and Ahkdar Village. Once players reach the airport, they can head to the end of the runway facing eastward to the sea. The Retro Runway Fridge in Warzone 2 will be lying within a sizeable crater, which will help users spot the stash’s exact spot in Al Mazrah. It should be noted that this portion of the runway is completely exposed, meaning there is no cover for players to take if they are attacked or ambushed. Therefore, if users feel like they might get ambushed or pursued when approaching the fridge’s location, having a boat available might be ideal.
According to YouTuber the Full Measure, the source for the Retro Runway Fridge Key in Warzone 2 is entirely dependent on RNG. Players might get the Key while looting a different stash, scavenging containers, or clearing faction quests. Alternatively, if users notice another player heading toward the Retro Runway Fridge’s location at the airport, there is a high probability that the user has the Key in Warzone 2. Therefore, combatants can take advantage of the situation by eliminating the other player, stealing their Key, and looting the fridge for themselves.
