American Idol season 10 runner-up Lauren Alaina performed a private concert for Charity Lawson and Aaron Bryant on the first one-on-one date of The Bachelorette season 20, leaving people wondering what she’s been up to since her 2011 debut. On The Bachelorette episode 2, Lauren, who is now 28 years old, sang at a private concert for Charity and Aaron. Lauren got her start on American Idol season 10 at just 15 years old at her audition. Lauren is not only a fantastic singer but a talented actress as well. In 2017, she starred in the TV film The Road Less Traveled, which shares a title with her single. In the movie, she plays Charlotte, a country music singer who comes home to Tennessee a week before her wedding. However, she reconnects with her high school sweetheart. Lauren also starred in the 2021 Hallmark movie Roadhouse Romance. Lauren takes on the role of Callie, a lieutenant who returns home from the military and finds that her hometown has changed while she was away. Lauren Alaina Competed On Reality Television
After American Idol, Lauren competed on several other reality television shows. In 2019, Lauren appeared on Dancing With The Stars season 28. She placed fourth with her partner, Gleb Savchenko. Lauren proved how tough she was on Beyond the Edge in 2022. She competed against eight other celebrities in rigorous adventures in the jungles of Panama. During the show, Lauren opened up about her battle with her eating disorder and how she was learning to love herself and her body.
Although Lauren was a frontrunner on Beyond the Edge, she fell during one of the challenges. She was forced to leave the competition because she tore ligaments in her foot. It was a heartbreaking moment in the series. In 2021, Lauren published her memoir, Getting Good at Being You: Learning to Love Who God Made You to Be. In the book, Lauren shares stories about her life, which are accompanied by tips, strategies, and encouragement that help with personal and spiritual growth. Lauren Alaina Is Engaged To Be Married
In November 2022, Lauren announced her engagement to Cam Arnold during a performance at the Grand Ole Opry. Cam’s a partner at an insurance firm in Nashville. In an Instagram post about the engagement, Lauren wrote, “BRIDE be dang’d, y’all. My best friend, @arnold.cam, asked me to marry him, and I announced it at my favorite place in the world, @opry. I didn’t know happiness and excitement like this existed. I can’t wait to be Mrs. Cameron Scott Arnold.” Lauren has a wedding planner and is currently planning their big day.
Lauren has had a lot of success in her career since placing second on American Idol season 10 over a decade ago. She’s happy in her personal life as well, with her engagement to Cam.
