The Hulk just received his own magic armor that turns the Jade Giant into one of the most powerful monsters in the entire Marvel Universe.
Warning! Spoilers for Mech Strike: Monster Hunters #2 by Marvel Comics
The Hulk just received his own armored mech that turns the Jade Giant into an even more dangerous monster in the Marvel Universe. In a brand new preview for Mech Strike: Monster Hunters #2 by Marvel Comics, the Hulk is among the Avengers who merged with magic mech suits, making them hybrid monsters. While the rest of the heroes are overwhelmed by their new forms, Hulk manages to control it after briefly struggling with his new powers.
Marvel’s new Mech Strike series features the Avengers getting their own magic armor in an attempt to even the playing field against a group of villains who used the Eye of the Kraken to mystically transform into monsters. After discovering Loki, Doctor Doom, Venom, and Green Goblin became monsters, they turned to Doctor Strange for assistance. The Sorcerer Supreme used the other Eye of the Kraken to upgrade their mech armors; however, when he unleashed its power, it changed the Avengers, including the Hulk, into monsters themselves, as they horrifyingly merged with their mechs.
In a brand new preview of Mech Strike: Monster Hunter #2 by Christos Gage, Paco Diaz, Protobunker’s Fernando Sifuentes, and VC’s Cory Petit from Marvel Comics, the fallout from Doctor Strange using the Eye of the Kraken on the Avengers and their mech armors is revealed. Strange tells Earth’s Mightiest Heroes not to give into the magical artifacts’ evil nature, as their mechs get monstrous upgrades. While other Avengers like Black Panther and Iron Man struggle with their new corrupted forms, Hulk avoids the Eye of the Kraken’s influence, as he reveals the Monster Eye “tried to tell Hulk what to do. But no one tells Hulk what to do.”
However, despite avoiding the evil influence of the Eye of the Kraken, the Hulk and his magical mech armor form struggle with rallying his fellow Avengers. He tells the monster heroes that they are “stupid” if they listen to the Monster Eye, leading Doctor Strange to admit that there’s a reason Hulk hasn’t written any “self-help books.”
In the end, the Hulk is able to avoid the influence of the Monster Eye despite his fellow Avengers becoming corrupted by the magical artifact. Seeing the Jade Giant become an even more terrifying merged creature with his mech armor makes him a new kind of monster. He proves to be the strongest hero among the changed and upgraded Avengers as Hulk deals with his transformation better than anyone else affected by the Eye of the Kraken. As a result, the Hulk’s magical armor and original powers make him the most powerful monster in the Marvel Universe. Mech Strike: Monster Hunters #2 by Marvel Comics is in comic book stores on Wednesday.
