In a recent interview, former housewife on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, NeNe Leakes, claims that right now the franchise is “starless.”
Former star of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, NeNe Leakes, claims that the franchises are “starless” and that the stars that existed have all left their shows. NeNe was a part of the original cast of the show, which began in 2008. After taking a break from the show for seasons 8 and 9, NeNe returned for seasons 10,11, and 12. NeNe officially left the franchise in 2020, after 12 years of being on and off the show.
On Tuesday’s episode of The Breakfast Club, The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s NeNe Leakes appeared to talk about the current casts of the franchises.
NeNe was there to speak about The Real Housewives of Potomac star Robyn Dixon and her recent admission of knowledge about her husband Juan’s affair. NeNe immediately called Robyn “starless,” despite hosts of The Breakfast Club insinuating that RHOP actually has had great ratings this season. NeNe admitted that she doesn’t watch the show, or any TV frankly but that she forms her opinions based on clips that end up on social media.
RHOA’s NeNe Leakes Had More to Say
The Breakfast Club hosts went on to tell NeNe that they believed Robyn and her Reasonably Shady co-host Gizelle Bryant were stars because of the popularity of their podcast. NeNe said the pair were actually Bravolebrities and not famous, she feels that there is a different between being famous and being known. NeNe did share that she feels former RHOA castmate Kandi Burruss is a star but that everyone else is known and not famous. After pressure from The Breakfast Club hosts, NeNe conceded that Robyn and Juan Dixon are stars since everyone else said they were famous.
As someone who admittedly does not watch any of the franchises, it is challenging to trust NeNe’s opinions on the cast members. While NeNe was a cast member for 10 seasons, and understands how casting works, it is challenging to agree with what she says when she admits she doesn’t know anything about the franchises now. NeNe has always been controversial and high maintenance, so it is no shock that the former RHOA star went on The Breakfast Club to attack current Real Housewives cast members. NeNe does have insight on the franchises, but not as much as she used to.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe’s words are meaningless considering that she does not have access to the franchises like she used to. Having former cast members comment on the current state of the franchises solely causes unnecessary drama and does not provide the insight anyone thinks it will. It is common for former housewives to comment on the franchises, but it is never truly beneficial when it comes to information for the viewers. NeNe did this solely to stir up drama, and she succeeded as she always does.
