90 Day Fiancé: Love In Paradise season 2 will feature 3 new couples and 2 returning. Here’s how each relationship ranks based on drama potential.
90 Day Fiancé: Love in Paradise season 2 premiered June 10 on Discovery+, and although each of the five featured relationships are set to endure their own share of problems, some couples’ crossroads look more dramatic than the others. When the latest 90 Day Fiancé spin-off was first announced back in 2021, fans of the franchise were uncertain how successful it would be.
Although season 1 took a bit of time to warm up to (no pun intended), many 90 Day Fiancé fans found themselves enthralled by the drama of 90 Day Fiancé: Love In Paradise season 1. Originally promoted with the long-winded title Love in Paradise: The Caribbean, A 90 Day Story, the series follows five Americans who fell in love overseas and are now navigating their complicated relationships.
After months of anticipation, the trailer for season 2 was shared by TVLogia on May 8, and fans are already intrigued by the two returning and three new couples. While the trailer is less than three minutes long, it’s clear that viewers have a lot of conflict and drama ahead. Based on the first look of the new season, below is a ranking of the incoming cast members based on their drama potential.
Amber And Daniel
Amber and Daniel’s relationship had its share of ups and downs on season 1, and now the duo is back after getting married and moving to Amber’s native Florida. “It’s easy to fall in love when you’re on vacation, but in real life there’s nothing magical about it,” Amber teases, but compared to the other couples, these two don’t seem to be nearly as dramatic. Although one shot shows Amber and Daniel fighting over Daniel’s perceived lack of sacrifice, Amber and Daniel are still happily together, with Amber recently showing off Daniel’s dancing skills on May 16.
Daniele And Yohan
Daniele and Yohan first met when Daniele was on vacation in the Dominican Republic. According to TLC, Daniele and Yohan immediately connected despite their glaring differences, and Yohan proposed just six weeks later. While Daniele, who is 10 years older than Yohan, wants to have a baby, Yohan says that he wants to move to America to “work and help my family.” Daniele is now worried Yohan is only marrying her for a better life and not out of love, although time will tell how true this is. Regardless of how their storyline plays out, it’s one that has been repeatedly seen throughout 90 Day Fiancé.
Aryanna And Sherlon
Aryanna and Sherlon’s relationship was tumultuous on season 1, and it looks like their dynamic will become even more strained during season 2. Not only did Aryanna give birth to Sherlon’s son alone during last season, but Sherlon then refused to move to the US. Based on the season 2 trailer, viewers should expect more drama now that they share a child. “I have my little friends, I do,” Sherlon admits at one point, while another shot shows Aryanna angrily explaining, “I’m not just some random b**** who just came along. I am tied to you for life!”
Valentine And Carlos
Valentine and Carlos, who are the first same-sex couple on the show, dated for over a year online before they finally met in person. Although Valentine and Carlos are shown to have a natural connection in Carlos’ native Colombia, the two also butt heads almost immediately, with Valentine expressing at one point, “I’m feeling like I’m losing my independence. I’m a grown a** man!” It doesn’t help that according to Carlos, “being gay [in Colombia] is not one-hundred percent accepted.” Based on the trailer, which showed one scene of them in a nightclub, Valentine and Carlos’ relationship is sure to get complicated and dramatic.
Frankie, Abby And Gabby
Frankie, Abby, and Gabby are the first trio across the entire 90 Day Fiancé franchise. While on vacation in Mexico, Frankie met Abby and Gabby, who have been together for 10 years. While Frankie plans to propose to Abby and bring her to the United States on a K-1 visa, there’s one major problem: Gabby has no idea. A relationship between two people can be hard enough, but Frankie, Abby and Gabby will clearly take complicated love triangles to a whole other level when season 2 premieres.
