Defeating Quincy the Bandit King in V Rising grants Vampire adventurers access to Iron technology, new gear, and the players’ first Ultimate Ability.
Quincy, the Bandit King, is a Level 37 V Blood Boss in V Rising whose defeat will unlock the Smithy and Tailoring Bench for one’s Vampire Castle. Furthermore, the bloodsucking victor will receive Recipes for the Iron Ingot, Iron Weapons, Hollowfang Battlegear, and two new Vampire Powers: Merciless Charge and Chaos Barrier. However, before confronting the mighty Bandit King, Vampire adventurers must complete one of two prerequisites to enter this Boss’s lair in V Rising.
Quincy is located within the Bandit Stronghold, a sizeable and heavily guarded landmark in V Rising, directly north of the Forgotten Cemetery in Farbane Woods. To storm this stronghold, Vampire travelers will need to break through its fortified front grates. Unfortunately, basic attacks and abilities do not affect the barricade of Bandit Stronghold’s entrance. Accordingly, V Rising fans must acquire supernatural strength or wield the explosive power of Sulphur to get past this obstacle.
One way to get into the Bandit Stronghold in V Rising is by obtaining Bear Form; a Vampire Power unlocked by defeating the Ferocious Bear. This V-Blooded creature can be found in the Bear Cave in the far western portion of Farbane Woods, south of The Dreaded Peak. Alternatively, V Rising fans can use a Minor Explosive Box, a Recipe acquired by slaying Clive the Firestarter, another V Blood Boss located in the Bandit Sulphur Quarry, a landmark on the eastern side of the Farbane Woods, opposite the Bear Cave.
How To Defeat Quincy The Bandit King In V Rising
Once V Rising players have access to the Bandit Stronghold by blasting or smashing through the main gate, they will be able to confront Quincy the Bandit King. Naturally, Vampires should be Level 37 before facing this V Blood, as attempting this Boss battle under-leveled will cause excessive misery in combat. V Rising fans will also need a general understanding of the Bandit King’s mechanics for the best results.
First, be sure to clear out the stronghold before nightfall, as Quincy’s lair has minimal cover from the sunlight during the day. Next, use ranged attacks to take out the Bandit King’s minions before aggroing the Boss. As long as the projectiles do not hit Quincy, players should be able to slay these enemies stealthily in V Rising. Below are the abilities that combatants should be aware of when battling the Bandit King:
- Ground Shattering Tri-Slam: Quincy slams the ground, creating three streaks that spread in a cone shape, followed by explosions where the cracks appeared.
- Shield Charging Bash: Quincy charges at the player in a straight line.
- Reflective Shield: The Bandit holds up his shield, reflecting any projectiles and blocking incoming damage.
- Enraged Shield Charge: Quincy will let out a roar, followed by a chain of three Shield Charging Bashes. He is stunned for several seconds once this ability finishes.
