Vega is an Assassin character joined by her wolf companion, Ajax, in HEROish, and she uses ranged attacks alongside her troops to win matches.
Vega is a unique Assassin character in HEROish that’s joined by her wolf companion, Ajax. Although Spiderbait rides on top of another creature, Vega is the only hero that has an ally who attacks separately and doesn’t need to be summoned initially. Due to Vega’s high attack stat, and her average Mana regeneration, the best deck for this hero is offense-focused and creates the opportunity to build a large army.
The available cards for each hero are the same in the campaign and multiplayer modes for HEROish, but they’re unlocked in different ways. In the campaign, the main quests need to be completed to unlock cards for the hero being used. However, in multiplayer mode, players need to level up by completing matches, and the rewards aren’t specific to the hero they’re using. Additionally, heroes need to be unlocked in multiplayer, so other characters have to be used for a couple of matches before Vega becomes available. At level 20, all cards and heroes will be unlocked in multiplayer mode.
Since cards unlock while progressing in the campaign, the best deck won’t be available until the end, so players can slowly build up to it. However, more powerful cards unlock quicker in multiplayer mode, so there are different techniques to consider when building a deck to fight other players. A deck can only have 12 cards in HEROish, but players will have between 39 and 45 to choose from depending on the hero. Vega has 45 cards, but only 15 different types because each one has duplicates.
Best Vega Deck For Multiplayer Mode In HEROish
In general, the ranged attackers tend to stay on the field longer than melee troops, so they should be upgraded first. One of Vega’s best cards is Arrow Volley because of its high damage and the large area of effect, so players should also upgrade this ability early on. A few of Vega’s cards are available for Flynn’s deck in HEROish as well, so players that use both heroes should focus on upgrading the shared troops. Vega’s best deck will consist of a few small troops, special hero abilities, and a minimal amount of high-cost cards that are good for an endgame assault.
- Pikeman (x2): Costs four Mana to summon
- Ajax, Maul! (x1): Costs six Mana to use
- Bomb Cart (x1): Costs six Mana to summon
- Guard (x1): Costs six Mana to summon
- Shortbow (x2): Costs six Mana to summon
- Arrow Volley (x2): Costs 12 Mana to use
- Griffin Rider (x1): Costs 13 Mana to summon
- Ballista (x1): Costs 18 Mana to summon
- Bulwark (x1): Costs 25 Mana to summon
If players are having a hard time generating enough Mana to use Ballista or Bulwark, they can replace these cards with Cleric, Dragoon, or more Griffin Riders. Additional small troops can also be used to replace high-cost cards, but players may have a hard time defeating more powerful opponents without a few stronger allies. To try out different decks for Vega, players can use the custom 1v1 AI option in HEROish‘s multiplayer mode.
