Playing as a demon in Evil Dead: The Game is much different than playing as a Survivor, so it’s important for new players to choose an easy one first.
As a beginner in Evil Dead: The Game, playing as a demon may take some getting used to. The demons in Evil Dead: The Game play differently than the Survivors do, particularly because they don’t have the same type of class structure. Instead of having multiple characters with unique abilities to choose from within each class, demons are split into three different classes overall. When players select either the Warlord, Puppeteer, or Necromancer, they’ll gain the ability to spawn the different monsters of that class, including which boss spawns.
Any of the best demon skills for Necromancer, Puppeteer, or Warlords in Evil Dead: The Game are viable to use once players understand the classes’ strategies better. For example, Necromancers have the hardest-hitting combo attack and they have the ability to summon skeleton units. The Puppeteer boss monster has the lowest health of the three classes, but their units are more agile in movement and attack speed allowing players to use a hit-and-run style of play with units that explode. The Warlord boss is slow and bulky, but their monster units have the ability to attack survivors with an area of effect poisons and speed.
Though each class has its strength, the best demon for beginners in Evil Dead: The Game is the Necromancer. Even with the best Puppeteer skills unlocked in Evil Dead, new players may find it difficult to manage their telekinetic, lightning, and explosive abilities without much practice at first. There’s a level of strategy with the Puppeteer that makes it a fantastic demon class to choose, but it’s definitely more advanced. The problem with the Warlord demon class is its boss, Henrietta. While Henrietta does have powerful enough attacks to keep up with the bosses of the other classes, her melee attacks have low reach. This can be made up for by her good area-of-effect attacks, but it requires a bit more management than beginners might be ready for.
Why The Necromancer Is The Best Demon For Beginners In Evil Dead: The Game
The Necromancer isn’t just the best demon for beginners, rather it’s the best demon to use in Evil Dead. Some of the best Necromancer skills in Evil Dead: The Game include Come Back Stronger, Infernal Revenue, and Irreparable Damage. Come Back Stronger increases the maximum health of resurrected skeletons, and they come back with full health while dealing more damage. Infernal Revenue increases the amount of energy received from Infernal Orbs, allowing Necromancers to summon units more quickly. Irreparable Damage is a late-game skill that, when survivors are hit, prevents them from being able to heal.
Additionally, the Necromancer’s boss, Evil Ash, has an attack combo that down Survivors in two fully completed strings. If Evil Ash performs everything correctly, players can easily land both combo attacks before their balance breaks. There are plenty of other skills and abilities that the Necromancer has available to use as well, but these aforementioned abilities and attacks make it the perfect demon for beginners over every other character in Evil Dead: The Game.
Evil Dead: The Game is available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
